Everything you might need, super market, pharmacy etc is at a short walking distance. From Metmorphosi, one can explore the whole peninsula of Sithonia with daily excursions. From the little harbor Ormos (20 min drive) you can take the boat to Mount Athos, the orthodox monastery state. Driving south you can visit the famous exotic beaches of the east side, such as Kavourotrypes, Armenistis etc until the south point Porto Koufo. The west side, which is somehow more developed has impressive beaches as well but at a different style. There you can visit the touristic Marmaras, the preserved picturesque village of Parthenon, and if you are feeling lucky, the casino of the cosmopolitan hotel Porto Carras.
