Home Among The Gumtrees
Here in the Adelaide foothills we have a six bedroom house, with generous shared living areas. There is a double bedroom available with a brand new, very comfortable bed. Feel free to ask about any change in the situation as we have two single rooms that also become available from time to time. Our house is in very peaceful location, full facilities available including an outdoor area with beautiful views backing onto a national park with walking tracks and wildlife. Most of the time you will have access to your own bathroom. Sometimes the bathroom facilities will be shared with other guests. Fresh free range eggs from our backyard chickens are available daily. Visitors are free to use the kitchen (please clean up after yourself). You may also use the fridge, laundry, ironing board and iron. There is a hairdryer available upon request. We are a short walk to public transport and a slightly longer walk to a shopping complex with full amenities, supermarket, hairdresser, butcher, baker, chemist and ATM. There is also a 24 hour gymnasium just down the road. Our home is generally peaceful and there is often something delicious happening in the kitchen. If you are seeking a peaceful and quiet home experience, our place would be perfect for you. If you have never been to Adelaide and want to make the most of our wine and gourmet regions you would do best to rent a car. From our home the Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale (the wine regions) are all about an hour's drive away, but in different directions so at least a day trip each. We are more than happy to help you in preparing your schedule to include a nice variety of relaxed, busy, delicious, energetic and entertaining. We also have some truly beautiful beaches that you just don't want to miss, so allow some time to visit those too. In about the last 10 years or so Adelaide has become known for our boutique gourmet approach to food, so try to make time for some excellent dining experiences. In February and March we have The Fringe Festival, Clipsal 500 and Womadelaide Music Festival which come together to really bring Adelaide alive. If you love noise, crowds, music and endless entertainment then aim for Feb/Mar, you can't go wrong. If you like fresh organic, we can point you toward the farmers markets if you will be here over the weekends. (Again a car would be required) If you love walking, hiking, waterfalls, koalas and tranquility then you won't have to venture too far from home. If you just want somewhere to go where you can sleep all day or read a book and just chill, then our home is great for that too. Just let us know so we don't disturb you. :) We love to travel, so always look forward to meeting fellow travelers. We prefer non-smokers but if you do smoke we require you to go outside. We are animal lovers, so we have our resident felines, a small friendly dog, a budgie or 2, a couple of rabbits and of course the chickens. So if you have a small, well behaved, house trained pet, then he/she is welcome to join you here. We look forward to meeting you, so please contact us today. :)
