Quarry View - Unique property nestled in the woods

Quarry View is a quirky, comfortable property nestled in the woods in Pontesbury. Comfortably sleeping 2 with the option of a travel cot/camp bed for a child if needed. Really quiet location but within a half hour drive of some lovely Shropshire towns and ideal for walkers. We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, including basic breakfast items and logs for the log burner. We are happy to provide info about the area and as we live next door, we are easily contactable if needed Dog friendly accommodation. wifi. Log burner with logs provided. Beautifully decorated and extras provided to make your stay extra special, such as a welcome pack including bread, local preserves, cereal, milk, tea, coffee, sugar etc. Information books about the local area/walks provided for your use during your stay. Large selections of DVD's for your use. Books also provided - any novels that aren't labelled are available to be taken away if you start reading and haven't finished by the time you leave! Little outside seating area and chimenea for your use. Guests are also welcome to use the quarry area opposite the property. It's a very quiet area and includes a steep path which you can take up to the top of the quarry - ideal for anyone who enjoys nature/wildlife, but is very rough ground and is only to be used at guests own risk. Whole property but the garage beneath Quarry View is for private use of the owners We live next door, so are easily contactable for any queries or to help with anything at all. We can sometimes provide pick up for guests from local train/bus station if needed, and if we are available Pontesbury is a lovely village - small but with several takeaway and eat in restaurants, shops, chemist, bakery/greengrocer and some really gorgeous walks. We are very close (about 15/20 min drive) to Shrewsbury Town which is a really lovely, thriving market town with some fantastic history and a huge amount of eating places. Also nearby are the historic towns of Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Bishop's Castle and Church Stretton to name just a few. We also have several cinemas within a half hour drive, as well as a theatre and live music venues. There is a bus from Pontesbury (although only a few buses run during the day) We are happy to help out with bus timetables, taxi services or even drive you into town ourselves if we are around. From Shrewsbury town, there are regular bus and train services. There are many walking routes around the area, and we provide books in Quarry View with some beautiful walks and you are welcome to borrow these during your stay. We live in a very rural location, and the property is accessed down an unmade, gravel road which is very bumpy. We ask people to be particularly mindful of this if they have a low car!
