Balos Koumeika, Beach House, 50m to beach

A two bedroom, upper level apartment 50 metres from Balos beach, a naturally beautiful and unspoilt area on the south of Samos. There are neighbouring houses and several tavernas offering fine Greek cuisine, but still Balos provides peace, tranquility, natural beauty and views across the Aegean sea to the neighbouring islands of Samiopoula, Patmos, Fourni and Ikaria. The house sits back from the beach front approximately 50 metres. There are two twin bedrooms, a large kitchen, living room, shower room and balcony to the front of the property. The entrance door opens into the kitchen and is accessed from the rear of the building up a side stair case. Guests have access to all areas. Balos is more relaxed and less busy than the neighbouring villages of Votsalakia and Kampos, but it is by no means less picturesque. It is a beautiful long beach with crystal clear turquoise waters, colourful pebbles, and sand at the very end where a cave offers shade from the sun. There are two beach bars offering a limited number of sun beds and a choice of tavernas to enjoy fine Greek cuisine. The nearest village of Koumeika has a mini market and bakery, every day around 10am a delivery van visits Balos beach and brings fresh bread and any items guests may request from the mini market. Ideally you will need a car to reach Balos beach and travel around Samos. There are many good walking trails, beautiful beaches and excellent tavernas in the area, as well as archaeological sites, museums, festivals, waterfalls and pine-covered mountains in Samos, information of these can be provided to guests on their arrival if required.
