This gorgeous new 3 bedroom home, architecturally designed to have minimal impact on the environment is called Kookaburra retreat. A modern open space house perched high amongst the trees and bird life capturing cool breezes and native aromas. A perfect place to retreat, rest, relax and rejuvenate. Suits family, friends or couples for a weekender or longer stay. The home opens up onto a large deck that flows out to a plunge pool. The entire space is perfect for gazing out towards picturesque Cannon Creek and the valley beyond. The property is almost 2 acres, comprising of established bushland and newly planted gardens. Beyond the deck is a grassed parkland perfect for a picnic or throwing a ball. There is ample space under the house for creating art. The 3 bedrooms are generous in size, with high ceilings and fans. All bedrooms lead out onto a deck. The master bedroom in the north wing has doors opening onto the pool area. The ensuite is designed as a large shower room with two open showers and no glass screens. The remaining two bedrooms are located in the southern wing, separated by the spacious bathroom (no bath). The center of the house is open plan living, dining space with galley kitchen, fitted with new stainless steel appliances and views into the front garden. There are no boundary fences so the wildlife, mostly kangaroos and wallabies can move freely and graze. Kookaburra retreat is inspired by happy laughter. Native to Australia, legend suggests this animals energy brings positive change, sentimental memories and healings of the past by closing old doors, so new ones can open. Kookaburra song is said to encourage us to let go of fears and begin again. A place of serenity, surrounded by the beauty of nature with all the modern comforts.. it's truly hard to leave. Guests have access and use of the entire house and property within the boundary. This includes exclusive use of the plunge pool and deck. Parking is at the front within the boundary. Guests are welcomed by property manager and left to enjoy their stay in peace. Kooralbyn is surrounded by mountains, rivers, lakes and various sporting activities. It is approximately 90km south west of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This delightful drive through the scenic rim and past pastoral estates used for cattle & horse grazing also boasts 6 national parks, hot air ballooning, horse riding, wineries, golf, fishing, art galleries , camel farm, and many more attractions . Within the valley itself are restaurants, bbq facilities, tavern, supermarket, tavern, biking & hiking trails , famous golf course , playing fields lookouts and a petrol station. A short stroll along the creek will lead you to a new playground for children. There is also an airfield & air sports which vary with the season. No public transport is available in this area. We suggest driving as your form of transport. There are many walking and cycling tracks . Private operators do offer transport from the town of Beaudesert 25Km away. The property is not fully fenced so please ensure you remain mindful of the wildlife around you and keep within the boundary lines. Well behaved Pets are welcome to stay on the enclosed deck however they are unable to roam freely around the property.
