This newly renovated timber home, sleeps 6 people and is 450 metres from the waters edge and nestled amongst Ku-ring-gai Chase National park. Gumbuya is the place to rest and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Gumbuya (Meeting Place) is perfect for families or groups of friends. This property can accommodate a maximum 6 people. Watch the wallabies bounce around, goannas, parrots, brush turkey, lorrikeets and kookaburras are in abundance. The tree lined ridge of Ku-ring-gai National Park keeps the home cool while the wood fireplace maintains the warm ambiance in winter. A newly appointed kitchen with microwave, cook-top, Oven, Dishwasher and Wood dining Table. The kitchen is stocked with Salt, Pepper, Oil, Tea, Coffee, sugar and condiments for guest use. An open planned Lounge with a wood burning fireplace, TV, DVD player and glass Bi-folds opening onto a large covered deck. The outdoor deck features a large dining table, Balinese lounge and a Wicker Outdoor lounge for those balmy nights and lazy days. The back deck overlooks the green of the national park and is shaded by trees , is appointed with gas BBQ and bench seating for private dining and entertaining. Guests are welcome to the internet, board games, kitchen basics, toiletries, DVD player, DVDs, beach umbrella, fishing rods, water activities, Kayak , stand up paddle board BBQ on back deck and outdoor shower. Linen is provided, bath towels we do ask you bring beach towels. Gumbuya is yours alone to enjoy, all information about facilities and activities will be available in the property. Enjoy Swimming, fishing, bush walking, the local library in the jetty shed or just relax and unwind Walking Access to Great Mackerel Beach is by Boat and Ferry only. There are no shops or cars on Mackerel Beach - you will need to bring your own food supplies, drinks and drinking water. Rainwater is harvested for bathing and washing clothes and kitchen ware, we do ask no long showers or leave taps running.
