Spacious attic apartment in period building right in the heart of Offida. Perfect for exploring the surrounding region or for relaxing in, enjoying the expansive views from the south facing, spacious, private terrace. Right in the centre of the old town the attic gracefully looks out onto the surrounding landscape. Newly refurbished, integrating original features and furniture with a more contemporary living set up, the flat comfortably sleeps four people in the two bedrooms. The bathroom is tiled, naturally lit and airy. A spacious shower is fitted in it. The kitchen is fully equipped, with oven, fridge, cooker and it shares the space with an open plan living-room area. Adjacent to it a utility room with sink, storage space and washing machine allows for the flat to be less cluttered and more functional. From the living-room a glass door opens on the balcony and the view from here is incredible. Privately facing south the very spacious terrace embraces a vast ever-changing view of the Marche landscape, spanning from the Adriatic Sea to the Appennino mountains, through rolling hills dotted with vineyards, sunflowers, olive trees and grainfields. A great place to sunbathe in, relax, eat, read or just contemplate the nature. The seaside and the mountains are just 20 minutes away and Offida is a great base to explore the myriad of villages in the south of Marche region, with their typical food and ancient traditions. The guests have access to the whole flat. Clean linen and towels will be provided. Myself, my brother or my parents will greet you at arrival, showing you the space. I am available for any question before and during your stay. Offida is a small pre-Roman village full of history and ancient traditions. People visit Offida for many different reasons: art, history, carnival, hand-made lace tradition, food and wine. Just in front of the house is the Museum of Offida, where you can have an overview of the history and traditions of the place, from Piceni crafts to modern hand-made lace jewellery. In the Museum you can ask for a saver ticket that allows you to also visit the Theatre Serpente Aureo, in the main square and the stunning church of Santa Maria Della Rocca. For wine lovers I would recommend a visit to the retail point of San Giovanni Winery in via Ciabattoni 10. They have a fantastic selection of wines and also a whole vegan range in case that is what you are after. Ciu Ciu winery also has a retailer in the main square, offering wine tasting and it is a great place to be introduced to the typical wines of the region like Pecorino and Passerina. For food lovers I definitely recommend the Cantinetta dell'Olmo (wine bar and food) in Corso Serpente Aureo, just behind the Town Hall. The owner, Roberto, produces a fantastic red wine called Haustus that you can taste here. Friendly atmosphere, good music and remarkable food. This is definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Offida. Offida is quite busy to be a small town, with fairs and events happening all year round and attracting people from all over. Probably the most famous event is the carnival, which takes place every year, 40 days before Easter, following a precise programme. The highlights are the procession of Li Vlurd on Shrove Tuesday and Lu Bov Fint, happening on the previous Thursday. Information on upcoming events can be found on the website "turismoffida Getting around by car is the best way to explore this part of the region. Parking is quite easy to find in Offida, apart from on Thursdays when the morning market makes the place busier with local visitors. Situated at the top floor of a three storey building, with no elevator, the flat would unfortunately not be suitable for people with reduced mobility. In order to comply with italian laws, guests need to be notified to the local authorities by the host within 24 hours from check-in time. For this reason documents will have to be shown at arrival so that I can write down your details.
