Condamine Cottage; Quiet Retro Cottage with a view

Condamine Cottage is a retro country cottage sympathetically restored with genuine retro furniture, fittings and decorations. It is a fully self contained, two bedroom cottage, entirely to yourself, which is at least 300 metres from the nearest neighbour. Enjoy the tranquility of our lovely area and waken to birdsong every morning. Welcome to our cottage, which we hope will bring back memories of some of your favorite things and times of your childhood or past. Laugh about the old equipment and how you may have used those things. Enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by grass paddocks on three sides and a small orchard. Look out for" Lackie', our geriatric cow, who wanders around in nearby paddocks, as well as a few other younger mates. The cottage has reverse cycle air-conditioning, which has just been installed, so is very quiet. There are two bedrooms, the main with a comfortable queen sized bed, and the second has twin single beds, for separate sleeping. In the lounge area there is a very comfortable sofa bed, with a trundle bed underneath. The fully equipped kitchen with authentic '70s microwave and full-sized retro fridge, allows you to step back to years past. The stove, with cooktop and oven, provides an opportunity to prepare your own meals or enjoy pre-prepared ones. A starter pack of tea and coffee, both instant and pods, sugar and milk is provided, as well as basic cereals, bread and spreads. The bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet. (Please be frugal with water-use as we rely on rainwater only and only flush toilet paper and human waste down the septic toilet.) The quoted price is for two people sharing one bedroom, if 2 guests require separate rooms there will be an extra cost of $30. If you have additional family and friends to share the cottage, as it will sleep up to 6, there will be an additional charge of $30 per person per day. Please indicate if you require the use of an additional room when making your booking request, so we know how many rooms to prepare. There is a carport, at the front, which can be accessed directly from the road and a double lock-up garage included for your use at the back. You will have access to the entire house, carport and double garage at the back. The fenced area around the house, is for your use only. The paddocks outside the fence, are part of a working farm and may have work happening from time to time. This will be kept to a minimum when we have guests. The cottage has a private driveway and private entrances, front and back. Guests will access the cottage using the lockbox. Self check-in with instructions will be provided after booking confirmation. All basic requirements are available in the cottage, but we are only a phone call away, if you have forgotten something or there is an emergency. There is a grove of Agri trees to the east, and plenty of native trees to the west, all of these harbour abundant bird life, finches, magpies, willy wagtails, galahs and lots more. We also have kangaroos, echidnas and even koalas at times, in the trees around the cottage. Just a peaceful 15 minute drive to the town of Warwick through farmland, and depending on your route you can avoid traffic lights completely, just two roundabouts and you are in the centre of town, with all of its attractions and modern amenities. The local area has boating and fishing on Lake Leslie, carting and meals nearby at Sandy Creek pub, gliding at Warwick Aerodrome and scenic driving along the various country roads. There is a railway line which runs through the property which has Historic Steam engine train trips regularly. Own transport is required as you will need to drive to Warwick, which is a short 15min drive, to access groceries, fuel etc.
