Unique cabin with wood burner, middle of row of 3.
Whether seeking peaceful relaxation or a quiet space to concentrate on your work, our well equipped cabin provides a retreat from urban life. Located on the edge of our village, which boasts two excellent pubs and an award winning village store, we are tucked away from passers by and traffic. The covered porch is perfect for al fresco breakfasts as the sun comes up, or rain patters down! Birds and wildlife abound. Village amenities are accessed via a private gateway onto a public footpath. The sustainably built cabin boasts modern comforts in a cosy and well designed layout. The double bedroom has a feature round window overlooking our land with our Jacob sheep, poultry and llama nearby. There's a shower room with plenty of hot water. If you enjoy cooking, the small kitchen area has all you will need to prepare fabulous meals using fresh ingredients from our village store or local farm shops. Otherwise a short walk takes you to two pubs which serve food. A short drive gives access to many more! The living area has a restored oak dining table next to double doors which open onto the enclosed garden. Sun Loungers are available for relaxing on your lawn. If the weather does not permit that, there's a comfortable leather sofa and an armchair, arranged by a woodburning stove, near the TV and DVD player. WiFi is available so you can bring your firestick. Free parking is available on site, a short walk from the Cabin. There is no public transport so unless you plan a walking holiday, you will need a cycle or a car to explore further afield. Taxi services are available from nearby mainline stations. Our property is located just outside the Southdowns National Park and a few miles from the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there are many beautiful walks and villages to explore. Many National Trust properties are within reach as are Goodwood, Cowdray and Knepp Castle, with its renowned rewilded estate. The Wey and Arun Canal is close by and offers trips on narrow boats with afternoon tea. Petworth is well known for its many antique shops and if you enjoy watching a spot of village cricket, this is easily found over the weekend. The Sussex coast including the lovely Chichester Harbour with its many beauty spots is less than an hour's drive . The market town of Horsham has shopping, restaurants , theatre and cinema just 25 minutes away. We are off the beaten track with no public transport, like many rural areas, so although taxi services can get you here from mainline stations nearby, you will need a car to venture further afield or a cycle to access any villages and attractions beyond a day's circular walk. Most pubs and restaurants offer free parking as do many villages, although pay and display charges may apply other than for short stays. Having said that, if you are seeking to relax and quietly explore just our surrounding area for a few days, you can find all essentials and many luxuries at the village store with café and our two village pubs. Our cabin is accessed via steps so we cannot accommodate wheelchair users. Several friendly dogs live here with us
