A quaint thatched cottage set in the heart of this small village. Light and airy, newly decorated. As real electric fire gives a cosy feel. Walking distance to village pub, and 2 miles from market town of Sturminster Newton. Great walks and cycle routes. Close to Longleat, Monkey World, the Jurassic coast, the air fleet museum, fishing on the lakes at Todber Manor. Close to market towns of Shaftesbury, Blandford and Sherborne. Stables available for horse enthusiasts looking for hacking holiday. An amazing ancient cottage. Comfortable sitting room. An electric fire with a feel of a real log fire. Wifi, free view tv. The cottage offers excellent self catering facilities with a well equipped kitchen. Wonderful walks and cycle routes straight from the front door. Separate safe bike lock away space. There are also stables available for horse enthusiasts looking for the opportunity to stay away with their horse! The cottage and garden are for the guests sole use. Access is to the right (west) side of the cottage, and there are four steps leading up to the front door. There is no off-road parking immediately outside but there is some available in the village. There is separate lock up bike space. I am available to the guests by phone and email. We are in walking distance of a great local pub (closed for refurb and set to reopen for Easter 2022). The Brasserie is really lovely, the pub is very much a pub but does really good food. (Website hidden by Airbnb) The Fiddleford is really lovely especially if you want to walk or cycle. You can join the Trailway in Sturminster Newton and walk/cycle to the Fiddleford, it is not far, half an hour walk from the end of the trailway and it is super friendly. We are close to Monkey World, Longleat, the Jurassic Coast and the market towns of Shaftesbury, Blandford, Sturminster Newton and Sherborne. There is fishing on the river Stour and at the lakes at Todber. We are in the heart of the Blackmore Vale with incredible rural walks and bike rides straight from the front door. We are also close to the facility of an Olympic horse rider and tours are available on request must be prebooked. Stables available for horse owners looking to take a break with their four legged friends! Great riding all around. Access to the river Stour for wild swimming (Any swimming at own risk) Main bus route and bus stop 200 yards away. Walking distance to the pub and the local town. We have two adult electric bikes available fore hire, details available upon request. There are steps leading to the house, and there is a narrow and quite steep staircase to the first floor. The cottage is very old and traditional so the ceilings are low.
