La Lune is set in an idyllic, tranquil, hamlet dating back over 300 hundred years. With a fabulous ten man beam and amazing granite fireplace .WiFi ,Satellite TV every comfort of home and easy access to Mont St Michel and all of Brittany and Normandy La Lune Cosy two bedroomed cottage part of a beautiful 400 year old farmhouse. Plenty of parking and free WiFi. Set in beautiful unspoilt countryside - perfect for walking and cycling. and sightseeing. Only 25 mins from Le Mont St Michel and beaches. Close to St Malo, medieval Dinan, Fougeres with its stunning chateau. Situated approximately 1 mile from the pretty village of Tremblay with its boulangerie, cafes and restaurants and within easy reach of the many picturesque attractions of Brittany. This location offers something for everyone: magnificent beaches for sun-worshippers, spectacular countryside for nature lovers It also offers some of the world's greatest wines, haute cuisine for gourmets, an abundance of culture for art lovers and tranquillity for the stressed. The cottage comes fully equipped, furnished with Breton antiques. Satellite TV French and English and free WiFi internet access. Garden furniture and barbeques are provided. Bread, Croissants and delicious gateaux are delivered to the hamlet twice a week. Many board games. Boules and badminton are available. La Lune as it is called because of the amazing night sky has a beautiful living area with log burning fire, 3 seater sofa and 2 armchairs. The kitchenette contain a gas cooker, microwave and fridge. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all your cooking requirements and a cafetiere or a coffee machine if you prefer. Dining table and 4 chairs. Upstairs there is a pretty bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower. The second bedroom with 2 single beds has a juliet balcony leading down to the garden. There is a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. A Bookshelf in the sitting room has a variety of holiday reading. Satellite TV, DVD and wired internet access. A highchair, cot, children's toys and stair gate are available on request. There is an ironing board, iron and hairdryer in your cottage . Washing machine and tumble dryer is located in the laundry room at the end of the house. For stays of 5 days or more a welcome pack is provided with essentials including homemade jam, and of course a bottle of wine. Tea coffee milk and sugar herbs and spices are always provided. La Lune is centrally heated upstairs and a cosy log fire will be lit in before your arrival in the Winter months to ensure a warm welcome. . There are lawned areas for children to play on although children should be supervised at all times as whilst this is a quiet hamlet and the houses are off road the occasional car and tractor do pass by. Our French neighbours are very welcoming. The property is an ideal location for exploring and the English owners have an in depth knowledge of the area -they are also French speaking and live on the site. They will be available to help and advise. There are 5 other houses in the hamlet all owned by French so this is an ideal opportunity to experience 'the real French experience'. The cottage has its own garden furniture, private space and barbecue. There is also a garden across the country road looking over corn fields and containing a newly renovated bread oven. This is a tranquil area to sit during the evenings and watch the beautiful sunset. Our nearest town 5 minutes drive is Tremblay which has some attractive houses from the 11th century. Tremblay was the birthplace of botanist Rene Louiche-Desfontaines who set up a national botanic specimen collection in the Museum d' Histoire Naturelle. He introduced the cultivation of Durum wheat in to France in 1933. Tremblay erected a bust in his honour. The property is ideally located for visiting the beaches of Normandy and Brittany- all within 30 mins. There are many stunning coastal villages including St. Suliac which is listed as one of the prettiest villages of Ille et Vilaine. Cancale the oyster capital of Europe is also only a 40 mins drive away. The famous medieval walled town of St. Malo overlooking a large harbour and beautiful sandy beach is only an hours drive. Mont St Michel is a magnificent spectacle only 25 mins drive away. Your hosts (English/French spoken) live on site and have an in depth knowledge of the area. They are always ready to help and advise guests plan their trips Free Wifi, private garden . Shared area for badmington. Plenty of parking on site. BBQ facilities. Laundry room. We live on site and are happy to advise on places to visit, local events and good restaurants. During this special time we will maintain a distance for your safety. The tranquillity and beauty of the countryside perfect for cycling and walking. Near to all the major attractions of both Normandy and Brittany. Our neighbours in this small hamlet of 3 other houses are French and very friendly. Plenty of parking on site. East access to St Jaques Airport at Rennes and Dinard airport. Close to major ports only 50 minutes from St Malo. Fully equipped kitchen with all herbs spices provided and a generous welcome pack on arrival including milk , tea , coffee and a bottle of red wine. Logs are provided for winter and Autumn lets.
