La Voix du Ruisseau (Small Yurt)

In the calm of the mountains, in the middle of a pristine nature, our small, cozy and comfortably equipped yurt sits like a bird's nest between old trees high up on a hill, surrounded by a terrace with a remarkable view. The yurt's bamboo-framed wall creates special aesthetics and provides together with the round form and the natural materials an ambience of protection and well-being. In autumn and winter the yurt can be heated. During the warmer seasons, you can sit and rest not only on the big terrace but also within shaded areas underneath oak trees. At the foot of the hill, in a distance of 1 minute, in front of our big yurt (See our 2nd listing), you will find in separate buildings the shower and toilet. The kitchen, a few meters above, is fully equipped, also with a wood stove. In summer a big sliding door opens up to a covered terrace towards the forest and transforms the room into an outdoor kitchen. The quite, calm environment along with the power of the nature makes it an ideal place for stepping out of life's routine, and will help to relax and renew. In summer, the nearby creek with its small natural pools offers children and adults a refreshing coolness. Our property of 5800 m2, a spacious forest garden with its terraces held by old, natural stone walls, allows guests to find nice private areas in sun and shadow to retire. It is our pleasure to provide all necessary information including hiking trails, canoe/kayaking possibilities and sight-seeing locations within the region. For those who are interested, we offer an introduction into the practice of meditation. We also have available an experienced Qi Gong instructor to introduce you into this ancient Chinese practice of energy enhancing movement. Our property is situated at the border of the old village of Graissessac, in the middle of the Natural Park Haut-Languedoc. It is a region uniquely located between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea with a great diversity of landscapes and a wide range of flora and fauna. There is private parking on the property. The train station is about 25min away in the town of Bédarieux. The airport in Montpellier is in a distance of 2hrs, and the one in Béziers in 1hr. There runs a bus from Montpellier to Bédarieux. La Voix du Ruisseau had been created out of a ecological consciousness and since 2011 we have received the label "The Green Key". Also since 2011, we have the label "Clévacances-Insolite". Concerning the tariffs for more than 2 people in the yurt: For children 5-12yrs 10 euros per night. For children 13yrs on and adults 15 euros per night. At the moment of your departure, we will ask you to pay: The visitor's tax of 0.40€ per night for each adult. A supplement of 10€ if you stay only 1 night, for 5 or more people this supplement will be 20€. For the preparation of your breakfasts and meals a well equipped kitchen is at your disposal. The street to our property is quite narrow but is passable for the average-sized car. If you like, we will happily guide you to our property. It is a good idea to bring a flashlight/torch since the trails are not lit in an effort to better view the night sky. Wifi is available at the main house.
