Really nice room, w/ private entrance, in charming, vintage Westside home. Quiet, residential neighborhood, 5 min drive, 15 min walk to downtown. Microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, HEPA air purifier. Standard Double bed super-comfortable, w/ footboard. Futon also available. TV, WiFi. Bathroom with shower/ tub. Off-street parking. I've stated "no pets" but may be flexible. Pls contact w/ questions. Petaluma charges a 10% vaca rental tax so please plan on leaving cash or (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable, nice and clean. The patio, by the garden, has table, chairs and chaise. Quiet and peaceful. This is a kid-friendly room and there's room in the backyard for kids to run around. The room is comfortable for two adults but I've had three and it's OK. It's pretty easy to add a child or two on the futon, which you can up-end during the day for more space. Also, the double bed is a standard width and length and, because there is a footboard, it may not be long enough for a super-tall person. I am calling this a studio apartment because it is a separate living space with private entrance and attached bathroom but it does not have an actual kitchen. This downstairs unit is self-contained, with microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, electric tea kettle and complementary snack bars and popcorn and a Brita to filter your water, if you like. It’s potable anyway. There is no kitchen sink so, if you use dishes, please give them to me and I’ll wash for you. Washer/drier are not in the unit itself, but are upstairs and we can easily work that out, if you need it. Since you have your own, separate entrance, we can be private or interact - whatever works! I'm on the Westside of Petaluma - the charming, Victorian and vintage part of town. It's a safe, quiet neighborhood, a pleasant walk from downtown Petaluma, about 10 blocks, and 3 blocks from Oak Hill Park with nice little playground and dog park. Downtown Petaluma is great - lots of coffee & wine, a wide range of restaurants, shops and entertainment. There are farmer's markets, frequent street events and lots of antiques. There's a lot to do and see in Petaluma and nearby. I'm a little over an hour to San Francisco, about 40 minutes from the coast, about 30 minutes to the town of Sonoma and about 45 minutes to Napa. I'm about 15 or 20 minutes from Sonoma State University. You can enjoy locally brewed beers here in Petaluma, find frequent outdoor music events, some free, throughout the summer, go wine tasting, have a mud bath and massage in Calistoga (about 45 minutes drive) or a bit closer, at Osmosis Spa in Freestone, go to free beaches at Russian River and visit mellow Guerneville. I have a lunchbox with icepacks, a couple beach chairs and plenty of beach towels for your use. Petaluma is a nice, down-to-earth home base. You'll probably want a car. You can get taxis and Uber in Petaluma but there's not much public transportation. Lots of guests enjoy walking downtown (downhill!) and taking an Uber home! I have a HEPA air purifier. Also, I indicated that there is computer work space - To clarify - there's a table and chair but it isn't an office chair and "real" desk. It's OK for average computer-time but you probably wouldn't write a novel here! You're welcome to bring your child or two or extra adult(s). I have a couple futons. My cats are indoor only and restricted to my part of the house but occasionally have dashed into the guest room and I've had a few dog-guests so the room is not guaranteed to be allergen-free. P.S. My daughter is in my profile picture but she doesn't live here; you've got her "old" room. I've indicated a 3 PM check-in and a noon check-out but I'm flexible and will work with your schedule. You can arrive late at night with no problem. Also, please park in "your" parking space - in the driveway. Thanks!
