Aberdale cottage is a spacious, light filled barn conversion, created from an ancient Welsh barn, 5 miles from the vibrant seafront town of Aberystwyth. Designed to maximise space, light and warmth, it is fully equipped for modern living. Large garden & terrace with great views. Total floor area 180 m Sq, or 1937 ft sq. can be taken in conjunction with st Drogos - a cottage next door to Aberdale, sleeping 2 Furnished with a eclectic mix of antiques and modern furniture that celebrate its transition from traditional working barn to comfortable home, and with a large south facing garden and terrace area, Aberdale is full of character - the perfect base for anyone wishing to visit or work in Aberystwyth. The house is flexible. All the double beds are super king sized, and they can all be divided to create twin bedded rooms if this suits you better. Situated in the heart of beautiful Welsh countryside, Aberdale Cottage is on a working farm. It has 3 bedrooms - one downstairs. The downstairs bedroom has an ensuite shower room, a large family room upstairs (can sleep 6 people comfortably) and a second double room - which can be set up as a double or a twin The two upstairs rooms share a family bathroom (bath over shower) All rooms are large enough to accommodate a cot/put up. There is ample parking and wifi - the house is very large - the family room alone is almost 50m2 (540 ft sq) - you will not feel cramped! PLEASE NOTE, WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY PETS, VISITING ANIMALS REPRESENT A BIO SECURITY RISK FOR US The cottage is on a working farm. Guests will be able to experience life in the heart of the working Welsh countryside! The house has a large private garden and wide reaching views. It is warm and inviting and filled with light Situated 5 miles from historic Aberyswyth with its shops, Victorian seafront promenade and with east access to the coast from Aberaeron to Aberdovey - Aberdale is a great base from which to explore Wales We are available if you need us but we don't expect to interact with you unless you need us - we tend to assume people want to spend time with friends/family while they are here. We leave our numbers in the house and ask that guests please call us if they need anything Aberdale is a beautiful old building on a farm that itself stands on an ancient fort site - where a great battle was fought between the Welsh and the English. The pace of life here is set by nature. The weather(!) and the annual cycle of the farm. It is a busy but measured pace and guests should expect to be aware of the workings of the farm while they stay with us There are buses but they are not v regular We recommend a car We are in a working farm and guests are asked to respect this. Gates must be kept closed and grazing areas are strictly out of bounds. This is for your safety as well as that of our animals We do not allow any pets whatsoever We have a min stay of three nights for bank holidays - 4 nights over Christmas and New Year's Eve Also - we have recently opened - a new one bedroomed cottage - st Drogos - standalone from Aberdale but will be able to rented in conjunction with it - making a total of 4 bedrooms and accommodation for 10
