A hop, skip and a jump from the beautiful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, Ty Brig is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay or the wonderful Ceredigion countryside. Ty Brig is elegantly and quirkily decorated, providing an extra layer of charm to your stay. There is plenty to see and do on your doorstep - or just relax and look out across glorious fields towards the sea, or sit out on your own decking area to enjoy a sunlit breakfast on the best of days. With its eclectic artwork, cosy rugs, Arts & Crafts fire surround, and comfy sofas and chairs, Ty Brig offers everything you could need for a relaxing stay - you don’t even have to wash up as we’ve put a dishwasher in the kitchen for you. Originally a stone barn, Ty Brig has been transformed into a light and airy space, with three individually decorated and furnished rooms that between them offer an oak king size and double bed, and two singles in the third bedroom. The master bedroom looks out across open countryside towards the sea. This king size room has its own tv with Firestick, and a late 1800s linen press cupboard and freestanding mirror. The dining room offers wonderful countywide views towards the coast, and a lovely Queen Anne-style table where the whole family can gather for relaxed meals. The living room features a reclaimed Arts and Crafts fireplace and stove-style fire, comfortable seating, Sky tv and even a brass goose lamp with a William Morris print lampshade as its hat. Ty Brig enjoys a well-equipped kitchen and when you arrive you’ll find a welcome pack of tea, sugar, coffee, sweets for the kids, Welsh cakes or bara brith and fresh milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. What more could you want after a drive to your holiday stay? We provide fresh bedding and towels and in the large bathroom with bath and shower options, you’ll find more artwork, a late 1800s Celtic chair and complimentary handwash, shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath for anyone fancying a long soak in this lovely space. Ty Brig’s decking area is a real sun trap to enjoy your morning coffee or breakfast. We offer great WiFi free of charge to all our guests. GUEST ACCESS Ty Brig is a self-contained building with self check-in, your own parking area and entrance. Ty Brig sits in a lovely village near the church and on the same short row as the Grade II listed former public house, now a family home. Whole house. There is a key box and we will send you the code on the day of your booking for access. We normally reply to messages within an hour amd have left you a guide in the entrance to the house along with our telephone number should you need to call us for anything to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Ty Brig offers the best of both worlds in that we are situated in a lovely small village with all the benefits of beautiful countryside and the Ceredigion coastline. We provide free off road parking. The area is great for exploring by car or bike amd the area is popular with walkers too. We have signed up to the Airbnb Covid policy and you’ll find all key Ty Brig areas sanitised ready for your arrival and hand sanitiser available in the entrance vestibule. Here you’ll also find our phone number - call us at any time during your visit if there’s anything we can help you with. Looking out of any of the windows, you will often spot the stunning red kites, following the successful Welsh breeding programme. Rush hour usually consists of just three horses and riders trotting by, so it really is the perfect place to relax or as a base for countryside or coastline adventures. For those who prefer to leave the car behind, the surrounding area is very popular with walkers and cyclists alike with plenty of routes to enjoy. Ty Brig benefits from wireless internet and Sky and Firestick tv. We are close to the junction box so enjoy unusually high speeds for a rural location.
