Located on the verge of Darwin's Rapid Creek Coastal Reserve and the beautiful foreshore, this freshly renovated private, self-contained, free-standing upstairs en-suite room offers a unique & personal stay at an authentic tropical retreat. You will have your own: - private entrance & veranda overlooking the stunning 85,000L saltwater pool - bathroom - 75L fridge - microwave - kettle & basic utensils - TV Covid policy: see below. PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE BOOKING *The room has a private veranda, entrance, toilet and shower, and offers lots of privacy. *The bed is queen size and has a bug proof mattress encasement. *There is a flatscreen TV in the room. *The location is fantastic and many people prefer it to the CBD. NOTE: - Strictly no extra guests or visitors anywhere on the property. - Pool, outdoor shower and laundry is shared with owner and downstairs Airbnb guests, though we respect your privacy. We are fully vaccinated. - Parking will be on the street outside the gate. - We are a short bike or car ride to the university or hospital. - There are steps to climb. - food must be kept in sealed containers to avoid attracting pests. - Prices are as listed. Long term stays: discuss with me after arrival. - The airconditioners are professionally cleaned once a year. -COVID cancellation policy: if the borders close after booking, we will refund you 100%. However this does not apply for falling ill, including Covid. For that you must obtain travel insurance. - Billy the gecko lives in the kitchen and eat flies and midges. While we change the cockroach baits 4x year and have the place professionally sprayed twice a year, an occasional cockroach might still sometimes wander in. Also Percy the harmless python and Wally the water monitor might visit the garden and outdoor shower. Possums and native rats run about on our roof and fence and provide entertainment. No pest control can get rid of sandflies/mozzies/midges, but we encourage you to use the Aerogard that is supplied. This is all just part of fun of living in Darwin (and Australia) and by booking you agree that you're ok with this. I will be busy studying most of the day. Often described as the best place to stay in Darwin, we are a stone's throw from the totally amazing foreshore walking trails and food vans. Bike, car hire or Uber. There aren't many buses. It's amazing!
