A true haven of peace

Our house is nestled amidst 3’000 square meters green, garden and trees overviewing Lugano Lake. The (Hidden by Airbnb) of the birds and the surrounding nature of this place bring you back to earth and balance. The main room has access to its own roof-top terrace from where to glaze at the stars at night. The nights are silent and cradle you into a sound restoring sleep. You are in easy reach of Lugano (30 min by car) but also of hiking, biking or paragliding opportunities in beautiful Malcantone region. No matter you are the energetic person who likes to bike, hike and paraglide or play golf at nearby Magliaso Golf Club, drive for a shopping spree to Lugano and Como or the balanced guest who likes hanging loose in the garden, or at the pool (accessible from beginning of June through end of September), read your pile of books and meditate this place will fulfil your expectation. Our guests await 2 bedrooms on the first floor of our house. A main one with queen size bed (sleeps 2) and own roof-top terrace, TV. A middle sized one with one real bed (sleeps 1). In addition one small room with one real bed (sleeps 1) is also available. Only on request we can add a camp bed with real mattress (extremely comfortable, have tested it myself) in the middle sized bedroom if two people would like to sleep there together (be aware that this doesn't make a twin bed though) The bathroom (shower/sink/toilet) which is on the same level as the bedrooms are, is for our privaste guests' use and isn't shared with anyone else. Enjoy your breakfast, which is included, on the veranda on sunny days, or in the beautiful dining room on cool or rainy days, and be tempted by homemade bread, jams and yogurt, granola, some fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Our 14 meters natural stone pool awaits you (beginning of June through end of September depending meteo, it is not artificially heated) from 9AM to 4.30PM so as do our longe chairs included pool towels. On request, not included but at reasonable prices, I can prepare your sandwiches on demand if you plan hiking, and with 24 hrs preorder, cook and serve you a tasty dinner (menu to choose from different dishes, meat, fish or vegetarian selection). The kitchen is not for the guest's use but of course you can heat up water for a tea if necessary. A mini fridge (Frigolino) is available for your private use close to the room. Water, still or fizzy, is available for you for the night and is for free! Besides the pool which you can use (beginning of June through end of September, it is not artificially heated) from 9AM to 4.30PM our big garden area is there for you to wander around freely. Take a seat in a corner you like to daydream and hang loose with your thoughts. A hammock (for 1 person) is available in the chestnut tree's shadow (ask for it and we will hang it up for you), the cool air coming from the woods is very pleasant on hot Summer days and you are completely secluded almost in the wild zone ;) We serve the breakfast (included), and dinner (not included) if you choose to eat here some evening, either on the veranda with awesome lake view on sunny days or in the dining room which is surrrounded by big windows overlooking the lake and the garden. These areas are accessed by us as well, but while you are having your meals it's just you being there and us bringing you the food and beverages. You can access our living room, sit down, lay back and relax :) Maybe our cat Serafino will hang around as well... I will be welcoming you upon arrival, show you your rooms and amenities and hand out a set of keys. I am more than happy to interact if you need hints for exploring this beautiful region or restaurants but I fully respect your privacy if you wish to relax. Vernate is a small South exposed village in the Malcantone region. The view over the Lugano Lake is stunning and on good weather days in Summer you get sunshine from 8 to 18 A bus (Agno - Cademario) stops right at our gate (Villa Bischoff) several times a day (first bus to Agno in the morning at 6.06AM last bus (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) PM). Please be aware that from your car park to the house you need to WALK UP 64 smooth steps winding up through the property’s garden. I can help you with carrying smaller bags upon arrival but, if I can suggest, do rather pack two small ones than a very heavy one ;) If you or part of your family come or leave by train (main train station Lugano) I can pick up or drop on demand CHF40.- one way Despite we love children, and myself am a mother of 4 (all adults now), we deem the place is NOT appropriate for small kids. There are stairs allover (in the house and in the garden area) and the pool, which is kept open, is filled with water all year! We apologise but therefore do not welcome families with babies and children below the age of 11 years
