64 Crovie is a comfortable ex-fishermans cottage from late 1700's, situated yards from the sea. Crovie is on the Moray Firth between Pennan and Gardenstown. The cottage sleeps 4 , is well equipped and offers visitors the ideal place to relax. 64 Crovie is an ex-fishermans cottage dating from .the late 1700's It is comfortably furnished and well equipped. Downstairs is a cosy lounge with TV and DVD and shower room and kitchen/dining area. Both the lounge and dining areas have wood burning stoves. The kitchen features a new ceramic hob and oven, microwave and a washer/dryer. There is a large wooden table seating 6 people. Both rooms have views direct on to the sea and fishing boats are regularly seen in the bay. Upstairs are two large twin rooms with comfortable pine beds. Rooms have plenty of stroage space and windows to the cliff at rear of property which is covered in yellow gorse, flowering all year around. There is a small landscaped seating area to rear. The cottage is self contained and guests have access to the whole property. I do not live near the cottage but visit regularly. The key is held by a neighbour and I have a cleaner who comes in between lets. Crovie is an old fishing village dating back to the 1700's. It nestles into the cliffs and so is yards from the sea and is said to be the best preserved of its' type in Europe. Visitors come to Crovie to relax and watch the world go by. It is a bird watchers paradise with many sea birds in the bay and RSPB sites including Troop Head close by. Moray Firth dolphins and seals are regularly seen from the cottage. Sit outside the cottage and witness the amazing sunsets as the sun goes down with one of the many local drams available from nearby whisky distilleries. In the local area there are a range of activities including walking, golf courses, castles and gardens. There is a sandy beach at gardenstown and further along the coast at Banff and Cullen. Crovie is on the North East 250 road route which includes the best of the North East Scotlands' coast and landscapes. There is a car park at one end of the village which is a ten minute walk from the cottage. An overspill car park is also available as you come into the village. A car is essential as public transport is very limited. There is no through road in Crovie so visitors need to park at one end of the village. A barrow is provided to transport luggage and shopping. There is a pub, cafe and Spa shop around the coast in Gardenstown but Tesco will also deliver to the door! Price includes electricity and bedding and towels for 4 people.
