My place is close to Sandwich, Wingham, Canterbury and Dover Ferry Port. There are 4 golf courses within a 9 mile radius including Royal St. Georges in Sandwich which hosts the British Open Championship every few years. There are 2 public courses in the area - Boughton and Stone Lees. Chillenden is a quiet rural hamlet set in beautiful countryside loved by many for walking and cycling. There is a local village pub/restaurant dating from the 13th century used by locals and visitors alike. With Gibsons, a local farm shop 5 minutes drive away where you can buy fresh meat and vegetables for self catering, or eat in their cafe offering light meals and snacks.
