We are a short drive from downtown Hartford, University of Hartford, University of Connecticut or Trinity College. The sign on the nearby walking trail reveals that it's 670 miles to Canada (the long way through Maine) & 2300 miles to Key West! Easy access to nearby lake if you kayak. If you tell us your interests, we'll be happy to give you some suggestions for sightseeing ! 20-30 minutes to many colleges - UConn campus at Storrs and Hartford colleges St Joseph University, Trinity College, and UConnLaw School, Wesleyan University in Middletown and University of Hartford in Bloomfield. Our home is in a rural residence zoned area about a mile from downtown shops or 3 miles to outdoor mall shopping with Apple, LLBean, and more restaurants on the other side of town. You will need a car as there is no public transportation nearby. Bradley International Airport is 25 minutes and the Hartford train station is 20 minutes. Let us know if you wish to use our clothes washer & dryer or park your car in the attached garage. The inside stairway to the second floor is open and toddlers need close supervision.
