Our charming Domaine, a former farm is located on a green 2,5 ha property with pool. Very close to the centre of a small village with shops, little café and restaurant at the port. The Loire (UNESCO) is passing our Domaine. Available 4 B&B rooms, 3 gîtes, a hikers cabin, 3 safari lodges and a gypsy-wagon. Our B&B has 4 beautiful and spacy rooms, all with private facilities, breakfast, towels and breakfast are included. On the ground floor you have 'your' living room with equipped kitchen which you share with the other B&B guests. It is possible to rent to whole accommodion for your group. If you realy want to have a glimp of the real french 'campagne' countryside our place will suit you. Very rural, along the most natural river of europe (unesco). Enjoy the french food, wine and social life. Ofcourse our whole property is there for you to enjoy as there are our pool, childrens play ground (acropark), piste de petanque, trampoline, table d'hôte (joining your host at the table, bikerental, piste de petangue, etc. We like very much to welcom our guests and have a chat with them. We do respect privacy and, if wished, we let you organise your stay all by yourselves. Knowing we are around to support and inform you to make your stay pleasant. Our country estate is situated on the border of the rural village Gannay sur Loire in the far north of the Auvergne region, and is only a stone's throw, from the beautiful regions of Morvan and Bourgogne. On the days when guests would just like to relax and un-wind, then the perfect solution is to stay on the estate. We have a large swimming pool, playing field plus chalet, a volleybalfield, a goal, a piste de petanque, a trampoline, terraces where you can sit in the sun or shade, picnic tables and two permanent barbecues. For young children we also have a sandpit and swings. There are bicycles available for hire and we organise kayak tours on the river Loire. The beautiful and quiet surroundings are perfect for cycling or walking. The famous Loire is a short walk from the estate, and guests can swim, fish, canoe or just relax by the riverbanks. On the other side of the village there is a canal that runs parallel with the Loire, here guests will find a yacht club and restaurant. If guests would prefer to be more actively entertained there is a large amusement-animal park within a half hour's driving. However if history, beautiful buildings and exploring interests you, then we are perfectly situated for visits to the picturesque cities of Bourbon-Lancy, Decize, Autun, Nevers or Moulins and also villages that have magnificent historical buildings, castles, churches, museums, gardens, etc. Within a half hour traveling distance lies the city of Nevers with her famous cathedral and palaces. Definitely worth a visit are Bribracte [a Gallic settlement], 'Fôret de Troncais'[the oldest oak forest in Europe], Apremont [listed as one of the most beautiful vilages of France], Arboretum "Balaine" [the biggest privat botanical garden of France] and the fort of Bourbon L'archambault. Or if our guests are unsure what they would like to do, please ask your hosts, we have plenty of suggestions. From the village you can take a taxi and twice a week there is a so called taxibus to bring you to the capital town Moulins. The nearest railway station is Decize and the closest airport is Clermont Ferrand. The indicated price is for one person in a triple room.
