“The Acorns” is a light & modern detached studio apartment providing luxury accommodation with a homely feel, situated in an elevated position above detached double garage with direct access via outside staircase. The property is located on a newly developed residential area of the seaside town of Lyme Regis. It offers peaceful surroundings overlooking an open green area with beautiful valley views & sea glimpses. There is private parking on the driveway in front of the property. The Acorns” is a light & modern private studio apartment providing luxury accommodation with a homely feel. The studio offers independent direct access at the side of a detached double garage via a black metal staircase, leading into a well furnished open plan room overlooking an open green area with beautiful valley & sea glimpses. The bedroom area has a comfortable king-sized bed with plenty of wardrobe & storage space. There is a separate en-suite shower room with large shower, toilet & sink. In the living area, there is a comfortable corner sofa which converts into a small double bed for younger guests. The area provides a comfortable space in which to relax & watch the large flat screen TV & DVD player. Adjoining the open plan living area is a small kitchenette with microwave oven, fridge (with small freezer compartment), kettle, toaster and a breakfast bar with stools from which to admire the beautiful views across the valley. Please note: cooking facilities are limited (no oven or hob), there is a combination microwave oven & bbq is available for guests to use outside on request. Direct access to the studio is outside via a black metal staircase at the side of a detached double garage. We prefer to greet guests on arrival. Once we have handed the keys over and shown guests around the studio, then you are free to do your own thing. Should you need any help or assistance during your stay, we live in the adjacent main house & are available on mobile phone. Lyme Regis is a hidden gem on the West Dorset coastline full of warmth & charm. It is a great place to relax & unwind, offering the perfect base from which to explore the World Heritage Jurassic Coast or West Dorset as well as the beautiful surroundings in East Devon. There are plenty of scenic walks along the coastline, alternatively take a stroll along the quaint streets of Lyme Regis with its many independent shops, pubs, restaurants & cafes, as well as the pebble & sandy beach, harbour & seafront promenade. Lyme Regis is home to “The Cobb”, the iconic harbour wall that was famously featured in the film “The French Lieutenants Woman”. Also recently Lyme Regis was the base for the new “Ammonite” film due to be realised in 2020, featuring Mary Anning (the famous fossil hunter). More recently Lyme Regis was used for filming of the new “Wonka” film to be realised in 2023. As well as many festivals & local attractions, Lyme Regis has much to offer everyone throughout the year. There is mini golf & table tennis available in the beautiful “Langmore & Lister gardens” overlooking the sea with spectacular coloured lights through the woodland walkway. There is plenty to entertain the young ones with a fascinating collection of Jurassic fossils at the Dinosaur Lane Fossil Museum, as well as fossil hunting on Monmouth beach or nearby Charmouth beach. During the summer season, there are several boats trips & water sports on offer. If you wish to leave the car at home, it is a 20 minute walk downhill into the beautiful town of Lyme Regis & the beach. For those less able walkers, there is a regular local bus service from the main Broad Street in town that can bring you back uphill and drop you nearby in “Pine Ridge”. In addition, there is parking in Charmouth Road car park situated half way down the hill towards Lyme Regis. Daily charge is currently £1 per hour. From this car park, you can either walk down the hill into town or take the lovely cliff walk down 114 steps to the beach & sea front. There is private secure parking on the driveway at the front of the property. We provide some light breakfast provisions including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, orange juice, bread & croissants.
