Little House on the Armancon River

CHARMING HOUSE - With its Burgundy stone and exposed beams, this cottage is perfect for resting or visiting the surroundings. Located in a calm village crossed by the Armançon river and the Canal of Burgundy, this housing will delight the tourists. Our house is composed of three floors : - On the first floor, large living room with open kitchen and a shower room - On the second floor, two bedrooms with double bed, a bathroom with a big bathtub, and a small terrace with a table and four seats. - On the third floor, four single beds Our guests have access to all the rooms of the house. We are doing our best for staying available for our guests. By phone or mail, we are trying to help our visitors to prepare their trip in Burgundy. We welcome our guests ourselves as often as possible but, when we aren't here, the visitors will be welcomed by my mother, who is also our neighbor. Please be assured that we will always do the maximum to satisfy our guests. We had created a little guide book with the most interesting sites to visit in Burgundy, some restaurants and also some useful information about the house. THE VILLAGE The house is located in the main street of the village of Cry sur Armançon, in the Yonne, near to the Côte d'Or (Golden Cost). With rural landscapes, magnificent forests and stone quarries, Cry is a lovely village, perfect for the nature lover. On the riverside of Armançon, the visitors could go for a walk or bike tour. There is also some splendid monuments in the village : - A stone arch bridge dating from the XV century - A washing place dating from the XIX century - The Saint-Julien church, with its protected crypt In the village of Cry, there is also a pétanque strip (bowls) and a play area for children where you also can picnic. For a good meal or a drink with friends, you can go to the Bridge Restaurant (Restaurant du Pont). SURROUNDING AREA Cry is located between Auxerre and Dijon, near to numerous touristic sites of North Burgundy. Among others : - The Fontenay's Abbey, protected by UNESCO - The medieval city of Noyers sur Serein - The Tanlay's Castle - Alesia museum STATION - Nuits sous Ravières - TER (5 km = 3 miles) - Montbard - TGV (16 km = 10 miles) PARKING The house is located next to a communal parking. It's very easy and always free to park in the village. HOUSEWORK EXPENSES This fees (10€) include clean-up of the house and supply of household linen (bed sheets, bath towels and dish towels). DOMESTIC ANIMALS We don't accept pets in our house. KIDS - ENTERTAINMENTS For parents, there is baby's cot and a stroller in the house. In the living room, there is also some toys (board games, colouring book, pens, teddy bear ...). For the others, there is a darts game and a poker game. LONG STAY We are willing to reduce our price for the visitors who want to stay more than a week. Contact us !
