Attractively furnished cargo ship in one of the most beautiful (old) districts of Nieuwegein, Jutphaas, within cycling distance of Utrecht. Experience life on the water on this beautiful ship (22 meters), the Jacoba M., built in 1922! Fully equipped and very stylishly renovated and decorated. Once you get on board, you feel the peace and relaxation and you immediately understand why people choose to live on a boat. The ship's home port is located in a beautiful and lively spot in (old) Nieuwegein, Jutphaas on the Merwedekanaal. The Merwedekanaal is a connection water between the major rivers and the Amsterdam Rijnkanaal. As a result, large vessels as well as small (er) recreational craft sail regularly, which makes this experience of life on the water even more beautiful and complete. There is ample free parking at the boat. There is also a good connection with public transport (bus stop and tram station within walking distance) to Utrecht. It is, of course, a ship, so that a stay is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. The living and sleeping quarters are located in the hold of the ship; so that these can only be reached via a steep (but short) staircase. The headroom in the living areas is between 1.95 and 2.00 meters. The 2-person beds (2 of 3) are 1.40 m. The municipality of Nieuwegein charges Euro 1.53 per person per night to tourist tax. We ask the guests to leave the total amount on the boat on departure.
