The Rustic Room

Situated in the corner of a family property is the Rustic Room with a semi-detached private bathroom. The sun-drenched north facing room overlooks expansive lawn & native bush where there is an abundance of bird viewing & song. Tucked down behind Snells beach, the Matakana coast and all it has to offer is easily accessible. A sun filled cozy studio room with comfortable Queen bed & lounge area. The studios vintage windows & french doors add character & complement the uniquely crafted bathroom, complete with a claw bath with french windows. Complete with outdoor arm chairs and coffee table under a sun sail, we have installed a fence & planters to provide more privacy to the accomodation. Coffee maker, jug & small fridge mean you can have an early morning cuppa or afternoon drink. The room is adjourned to the garage (though no cars are parked inside so the garage door will not be opened at inconvenient times!). There is only a queen bed available for sleeping. Possibility that you can bring your own portable cot for a younger child. There is a creek at the bottom of the hill which is unfenced & an older children's play area/climbing wall which would have to be supervised. Ample off-road parking available on site. Our family lives in the main house, we are your usual busy family, at school/preschool 5 days a week. Tucked down behind Snells beach, the Matakana coast and all it has to offer is easily accessible. Ample off-road parking available on site. A list of local taxi's/concierge operators can be provided if wishing to visit any local wineries or restaurants & wish to avoid driving. The property has 2 free range 4 & 5 year old children, Luna our very friendly dog & Whiskey the cat. Whilst we will do the utmost to respect your privacy you will no doubt spot the children & be visited by the animals at some point. This has a rural feeling but there are neighbouring houses near by.
