Beech Cottage Garden Room beside the canal

Ground floor garden room - own entrance & off street parking. Small Bed-sitting room, 4'6" double bed (King Size quilt), TV+DVD. Separate kitchenette - fridge, kettle & microwave, plus dining/study table. Large shower room (only 6 ft headroom in shower). Shops, restaurants, & takeaways nearby. Excellent Cotswold countryside all around including the Stroudwater Canal which passes the property. Cheltenham Festival, Gloucester Tall Ships, Severn Bore, Westonbirt Arboretum all within reach. The property sits alongside the Stroudwater Canal which is currently being renovated to be connected to the National Canal network. The garden room, accommodating no more than 2 people , is a small extension to the original property which we understand was originally a workshop for mixing paint colours for boatbuilders on the waterway. The kitchenette has a microwave for heating ready-meals, but does not have full cooking facilities. The shower room is spacious but has limited headroom. There is full central heating plus an extra electric heater if required. We are usually available next door if you have any problems or questions and we are happy to advise on places to visit etc. Take a walk along the canal direct from the property with the potential to see all kinds of wildlife - we often see kingfishers and herons along with ducks, swans, moorhens and coots - woodpeckers are frequently heard in the trees opposite.. There are also otters in the canal though we have yet to see one! Further afield we can suggest all kinds of places to visit - woodland areas, spectacular hill-top views, a ship's graveyard on the Severn, Laurie Lee's "Cider With Rosie" country or maybe Bibury (considered by some to be the prettiest village in England). There are local buses which stop at the end of the road, plus rail links to Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Birmingham and London from Stonehouse. In accordance with AirBnB Guest Standards Policy a maximum of 2 people are allowed in any booking for the property - Sorry, not suitable for children.
