A sunny and comfortable 2 level holiday home in Wharewaka Taupo with lake views and outdoor living on a large deck, just a two minute walk to the waters edge! This home includes open plan living upstairs, with a peaceful outlook and views of the lake. The dining area flows onto the child friendly deck perfect for laid-back BBQ's and easy entertaining with your group! Ideal for families with children, couples and groups of friends. There is ample off-road parking including room to park your boat. The Great Lake Walkway/Lions Walk (a shared walk & cycle path) is only two minutes away so you can either go for a walk/run or use the bicycles that are provided. The paved path runs for 10km from Taupo out to 5 Mile Bay. Two single kayaks are also available to use and of course there is great summer swimming. For guests interested in winter skiing the Whakapapa ski field is just an hours drive to the south. - Guest access on arrival is either by our local Taupo host (3pm-7pm) or via an outside LockBox. - Car parking is available for 2-3 cars plus room for your boat. - Guests can use two bikes, two single kayaks and some basic lakeside equipment. We live in Auckland and will handle all your reservation and booking enquiries. We have a Taupo local who can greet you and will handle any property queries and local knowledge requirements that you may have. The Wharewaka Point/4 Mile Bay area includes a mixture of locals and holiday homes and is very popular in the summer months. There is a great swimming beach, kids playground and picnic area with public toilets and barbeque facilities, all within a two minute walk of the house. The area is serviced by a local bus to town, and taxis are also available.
