Perfectly situated to explore central Tuscany and Italy's world-famous Chianti region, our spacious 3-bedroom “Little Villa", perched atop the historic hilltop village of Montegonzi, will feel like your very own Tuscan home-away-from-home. Recently restored in the authentic Tuscan style and split over three levels, our family-friendly Little Villa, Il Piccalo Ulivo, offers three spacious bedrooms en suite, lounge and large kitchen with panoramic views over the Arno Valley and Pratomagno Mountain Range. The wonderfully large garden with rolling lawns, many olive trees, cypress trees, lavender, rosemary and rose bushes opens up onto a small public park at the bottom perfect for children. The villa is fully furnished and yours to enjoy fully during your stay. We know the area well and can offer lots of advice for your stay. If you need a personal guide, one can be arranged as well. The ancient hilltop village of Montegonzi in Central Tuscany is the perfect place to explore the real Tuscany. Take long walks through the olive groves, dine at local restaurants, explore wine farms and visit the many unique Tuscan hill-towns all around. Conveniently situated just a short 10 minute drive from the train station of the nearby town of Montevarchi, and only 5 minutes to the town of Cavriglia which has all your local shopping needs such as groceries, a pharmacy and banks, Montegonzi is ideally located to explore central Tuscany and the Chianti Region. Florence is just 35 minutes away by fast train, and in the opposite direction Sienna, Arrezzo, Cortona and Castiglino del Lago are just some of the beautiful medieval town than can be explored less than an hour away. With private parking at the villa, a rental car is recommended to get around on your own schedule. The bottom floor of the villa can be re-organised to accommodate a small family of four, as it has its own kitchen, bathroom and separate entrance hall which could be used for little ones. The villa also contains two sets of twin beds, allowing for a combination of accommodation options in the various rooms, and a camp cot for a baby is available if needed.
