Rural barn near beach and town
With aged oak and natural tones the barn welcomes your tired feet to a stress and city-free escape. On the route between Falmouth and the Helford River, it comfortably fits a couple with a child. This south facing barn offers year-round accommodation with self catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and a child; with a large double bedroom and small single room. (The bedrooms are within the pitch of the roof and may not be comfortable for someone over 6'2".) The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has solid oak flooring and modern cooking facilities with more than adequate space for evenings in. The panelled bathroom is fitted with a shower, WC and basin with a stone tiled floor. The utility is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests will be provided with hand and bath towels along with a welcome pack including the essentials needed for self catering. We're willing to provide advice, so please don't hesitate to ask us recommendations for activities or restaurants. We live next to the barn and will be present most of the time. The south facing patio receives sun in the morning, all day and through to the evening, a great place to sit outside and relax. We respect the privacy of our guests, however, we're available if you have any questions. Pennance Mill is a rural hamlet on the road between Falmouth and Mawnan Smith, with country walks and beaches nearby. It's only a short bus journey or taxi trip into Falmouth, which would cost no more than £10. Rural bus service. During school/public holidays we prefer to take weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday. We are happy to relax the rules if a booking is made one week prior to the stay. Pets - Through discussion when booking we allow a pet dog to visit with their owners as there are loads of lovely dog friendly beaches, pubs and cafes nearby. There is a charge of £15 per dog, per visit. Our only request is that dogs are not left unattended, otherwise they're very welcome! From Easter Day to the 1st October, some of the beaches restrict access, but we're happy to make recommendations, so that your dog can enjoy a visit to Cornwall too. Electric Vehicles - we are delighted that more guests are using electric vehicles and we are looking to install a charging point in the near future. In the meantime we encourage guests to use the charging points in Falmouth, but if necessary will allow charging at £10 per charge.
