La Maison Blanche
Come and enjoy the open spaces, the forests and the many Petites Citiés de Caractère that Brittany has to offer. There are hundreds of beaches in Morbihan that are all waiting to be explored! Just off the beaten track La Maison Blanche is only five minutes drive from the local auberge. A ten minute drive takes you to the ancient town of Malestroit, visit on Thursday, market day!, I promise, it is impossible to walk away empty handed!. La Maison Blanche is a recently renovated traditional Breton cottage that has been fully equipped with everything you'll need for the perfect holiday... In the large, generous kitchen there is a microwave, fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine and dishwasher plus everything else you'll need for your holiday The open plan lounge, dining area has soft, comfy sofas with a large, wide screen television receiving French and UK Satellite TV channels so you can always keep up to date with your favourite programs. The downstairs bathroom has a full bath, shower and toilet. Upstairs there's a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom plus a shower room and toilet. During your stay no one else will have access to La Maison Blanche or its gardens. We live in the next village so we are always available if you have any questions or if you would like any information about the surrounding area. Relax in beautiful Brittany. Come and explore this stunning corner of France and discover its medieval towns, miles of sandy beaches and bustling markets. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a busy auberge or pick up a baguette and picnic on the banks of the River Oust watching the boats go by and soak up the sunshine Nearby discover the historic town of Josselin which was built in the 11th century. Explore the narrow medieval streets and admire the quant half timbered houses. Don't forget to make time to visit the huge turreted chateau down by the canal. Josselin regularly hosts medieval festivals and the whole town takes part with activities, events and shows on all weekend. A short thirty minute drive takes you to the coast and the world famous Golfe du Morbihan, a huge nature reserve littered with hidden islands and dozens of white sandy beaches all waiting to be discovered. Take a short boat trip to the Ile aux Moins and explore the twisty paths and ancient buildings. Order oysters or mussels on the quay and soak up the atmosphere of a real fishing port. French markets are in a league of their own! The variety of the fruit and seafood is second to none and you can smell the ripe camembert in the air before you leave the car.... It's impossible to go home market empty handed! Restaurants. Where else in the world can you enjoy a four course lunch for €12. There is a huge choice of local restaurants all serving excellent traditional French food. You will need a car to explore this part of Southern Brittany. Parking is free in most of the smaller towns and tourist destinations. However you will need to pay for parking if you visit larger towns like Rennes or Vannes Keep in touch with the outside world with free, unlimited Wi-Fi at La Maison Blanche Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge Heating is included in the rental from October until mid May.
