La Mouette Rose - a zen guest house in Lauterbourg

Welcome to our small guest house, La Mouette Rose. It's in a calm location with a vast garden next to a forest in the village Lauterbourg in Northern Alsace, France. It's just 5 min by foot to the heart of the village with bakeries, restaurants, a grocery store and small shops, or 10 min to the beach & lake. It's only 2 min by car from Germany, and a perfect location for a rest on the way South or North when travelling across Europe. The house is about 70 sqm. with two separate bedrooms and a toilet upstairs, and a kitchen + living room with a bed sofa on the ground floor, along with a bathroom. You have free wifi-access to high-speed internet, and have access to a vast private garden for relaxing, a BBQ or playing games. We live in a villa not far from the guest house. When we are home, you are always welcome to come over and we'll try our best to answer any questions you may have. The location is very calm, and close to an outdoor gym and track for running or walking in the forest. The track can also take you within a few minutes to the lake and beach in Lauterbourg, with plenty of water and beach activities. In the other direction, you quickly get to the heart of the village, with small shops and restaurants. Lauterbourg is a great base for hiking and biking excursions in the Pamina Region (the border region France-Germany), with views of the Black Forest in Germany and the Vosges mountains in France. The Route des Vins (Alsatian Vineyard Route) is also close by, as are parts of the Maginot-Line (the French underground defence line used during World War II) that are well worth a visit. If you like golf, the closest courses are in Soufflenheim and Karlsruhe-Scheibenhard (both beautiful and within 20 min by car). Strasbourg is a 35 min drive to the South, and Karlsruhe in Germany 20 min by car to the East. Dogs and other (smaller ;-) pets are also welcome to the guest house. This may cause some inconvenience to guests with severe allergies, but we are doing our best to ensure everything is as clean as possible after each visit. If you bring a pet, please note that on the beach itself, dogs are not allowed, but there are many nice walking-tracks nearby that they can enjoy.
