Traditional Countryside Quinta with Private Pool

Situated on the edge of Fonte Benemola national park this traditional Quinta would make the ideal base for hikers and cyclists to explore the Algarvean countryside. If that’s not your thing and you just want to get away from it all, you can relax by the pool with a G&T and a good book. Although in the country this Quinta is just a 5 min drive to Querenca, a 10 min drive to Salir and 20 min to the lovely market town of Loule so you have the best of both worlds. San Salvatore is a traditional home that has been fully restored by the current owners, with views over the countryside it offers light bright accommodation in the form of 3 king size rooms, one of which is en suite, there is a separate double bedroom off the main house with its own shower and toilet which allows for a total of 8 people to stay comfortably. The terrace at the front of the house is south facing and has a BBQ and plenty of seating for alfresco dining, the swimming pool is also south facing we have plenty of loungers and umbrellas to shelter you from the midday sun. The house has 3 bedrooms inside and one attached to the side with a separate entrance, all windows have mosquitos nets and fans to keep you cool, although with half a metre thick walls it’s pleasantly cool inside. There is a large bathroom just off the dining area plus bedroom 3 has an en-suite. The lounge has a log burner, TV showing UK channels and DVD player with a choice of films for you to watch. There is an extendable dining table that will seat 8 if need be. The kitchen is fully fitted with a gas cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher, unfortunately there is not a washing machine available but we can arrange for any laundry to be done locally at an additional cost. guest have complete use of the entire property including the private pool. My number is (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Quinta San Salvatore is just outside of Querenca a quaint countryside village up in the hills just north of Loule, with superb walking trails and views across the mountains for miles and miles it’s a walkers dream, all hiking trails are marked and range from beginners to full on mountain climbs but if walking isn't your thing then the roads are some of the best in the country for cycling, we can arrange bike hire and guided tours of the local area if required. Late (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) /early (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) the new golf course Ombria Resort will open its doors offering year round golf on a stunning course set in the hills near Querença, its just a short drive from the house and there will be a number of restaurants and bars plus a beautiful spa all for you to use. Near Ombria resort is Tor and there you will find a lovely vineyard called Quinta da Tor that produces some of the best wines around, they do wine tasting and tours of the vineyard starting at just €10 a head, this needs to be booked in advance. Right next door to the vineyard is Monte Da Riberia riding stables where Natalie the owner can give you lessons or take you for a lovely hack through the countryside. Just over 15 mins drive further inland from the house is the breath taking Stupa which is a stunning Buddhist shrine, best time to go is sunset it will take your breath away. You will definitely need a car to get to the house and get around. The local village of Salir has a good size supermarket, if you want superstore size then a short trip to Loule is needed where you will find a number of stores Continente, Lidl, Aldi, Pingo dos and the fabulous market on a Saturday morning along with the fish market from 8am-1pm every day.
