A spacious Cozy 2 story 1 bdrm 1848 log cabin sits on 1 acre of land along Penns Creek. A cathedral ceilinged bdrm & bathroom w/ 2nd floor balcony + spiral staircase + 22 windows w/views of Penns Creek filled with wildlife & nature from Sunrise to Sunset. Can sleep up to 4 w/2 queen beds and a roll away. Directv. Adjacent to Colonial House which sleeps 6-8 easily. The exposed beams and natural wood space is clean and fresh. The Original pattern spiral staircase is unique & up to code with the handrails, requires mindfulness. The cabin is bright and airy with the 22 large windows bringing the outdoors inside. It is adjacent to a 3 bedroom two story Colonial House, also available for a stay. Cozy Cabin comfortably fits 4 persons.There are two queen beds in cathedral-ceilinged bed room & roll away on request. There is a dedicated parking area, in the summer there is a picnic table & a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal, because there are different kinds of charcoal) . There is a fire pit. There is a authentic outhouse for your convenience when outside. In winter, there is a gas fireplace! However, because some people do not know how to use fireplace, it may not be available when you have it. Guests constantly break start button, a dog ate it, throw the logs in the fire pit, smell gas even though the gas alarm does not say there is a leakage. You cannot sleep with it on. Use it for entertainment, a romantic evening then turn off. On day of arrival, I will communicate with you until I know that you have safely arrived. The key is under the doormat. You just come in and make yourself at home. You will have your space and I will be just a text away to service any of your needs. Must inform me of any irregularities. I want to fix immediately. I want you to be happy. Although this unit is located on a busy Rt 204, it is quiet, peaceful and private inside & out back. The walls are 12" thick logs. Besides being adjacent to a two bedroom unit, the nearest neighboring houses are 1/8 mile away. We are In the country but close to conveniences. One mile south, there is a 20 hr Weis Markets & 1/2 mile North, across the bridge, there is a Mennonite Country Store selling bulk foods, baked goods and Deli meats and chesses, open 10 - 5, closed Sundays. 2 miles into downtown Selinsgrove, there is a Brew Pub,Subway, 2 Italian Restaurants , 3 Pizza Shop,Rib House/Sports Bar,coffee shop,Thrift store&Philly Sub Shop& Susquehanna University u3 miles to the Susquehanna Valley Mall, Walmart and Community Aid Thrift Shop largest in the country. 4 miles to Monroe Market Place & Golden Strip with all fast foods & corporate restaurants. 10 miles to Bucknell University by way of the countryside. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, glasses, utensils, pots & pans, dish towels, blender, toaster, mixer & a coffee maker. There are clean sheets on the bed and clean towels in the bathroom. Blow dryer,iron&board. Bring your favorite toiletries. Bring your own pillow. We had complaints about the same pillow ie. too soft, too hard etc. lol
