Casa CePe

Casa Cepe on Via Umberto 1 is a quaint house in the middle of a small village, Corte, at the bottom of the Ligurian mountains. The area is very popular with mountain bikers, walkers, serious rock climbers(just a short walk from Corte there is an amazing set of rocks that are fully bolted) But also wonderful for a quite few days rest and relaxation in spectacular scenery and unpolluted atmosphere. Casa CePe is a compact house with room for 4 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped , there is a spacious lounge, neat bathroom and small terrace. Sheets and Towels are provided in the price. There are two wood burners for the cooler months, one in the kitchen and one in the lounge. However, the stairs are steep and not suitable for small children. Please take care in the kitchen to not place your chair too near to the steps from the front door. All of the house. Please note:- there is a short steep walk up to the house from the car park and the stairs inside are quite narrow and steep(please look at the photos) A neighbour will be on hand nearby to answer questions or give you more information on the local area. The village of Corte where the house is has no shops but Molini de Tiora has some small shops, several bars and several unusual restaurants. Triora, another neaby village, claims to be the witch village of Liguria and has several good restaurants and local shops. Triora also has special self guided walks around the extensive village for visitors to view different aspects of this ancient place. There are some exciting walks from the front door with spectacular views. You will need a car or some other means of transport. Molini de Triora is a small village a short drive or a 20 minute walk down a steep but interesting path through the unspoiled countryside. There are two small shops, a couple of bars and a good restaurant there. Triora is a short drive up the hillside which is a town steeped with the history of witches and witchcraft. Welcome pack for Casa CePe, Corte, Liguria, Italy Corte is a village on a mountainside. This means the approach to the house is quite steep. Welcome to Casa CePe which is a no smoking house. You are welcome to smoke on the balcony and outside the front door. An ashtray is available in the kitchen. Sheets and towels are provided in the price. Kitchen The hob and oven are gas and a lighter is provided for ignition. The stove is easily lit with some crumpled paper and a few sticks. There is extra wood in the cellar. The ash will need to be emptied now and then and a bucket is provided for the ash. The stairs are steep and narrow but quite strong and safe. Upstairs Lounge The stove is the same as the one in the kitchen just a different design. There is an amplifier on the shelf connected to two speakers. It takes a flash drive and has a USB port for playing music. Balcony There is a pink round table and two chairs for use on the balcony stored in the bathroom. Bedrooms There are extra towels, bedding etc on the shelf in the bathroom for your use if you are cold. There is a small sewing kit on the bookshelves in the main bedroom. Bathroom There is a first aid kit in a small orange box on the shelf in the bathroom. There are lots of maps and guides in the house. Some may be a little old but are still useful. There are many walks, bike rides from the front door that are exciting and varied. Mario, our caretaker, is very helpful. If you have any questions do ask him.
