Our home has been totally refurbished to a very high standard. The sitting room has a large TV with cable stations, and great WiFi. The log burning stove in the open plan sitting room is great for those cooler evenings. There are sea views from the sitting room, but the best view is had from the terrace of the main bedroom. Downstairs has a double bedroom with wc and wet room shower, upstairs are 2 further double bedrooms and large family bathroom with walk-in power. A beautiful, spacious and contemporary beach house. The house is situated literally on the beautiful Duncannon beach with gorgeous sea views. Guests have access to the whole house. Available for questions through email, phone and texts - guests can have their space after check in Duncannon is a small idyllic typical Irish village. Just a 2min walk from the house are two pubs, both serve wonderful food, and on specific nights have traditional live music. The village also boasts a 450yr old Military Fort, steeped in history, tours are offered from June to Sept. Hook Head lighthouse is a 15min drive away and is the oldest working lighthouse of it's type in the world! This is a must see!! Although the beach is only a few steps away from the house, Duncannon is in the heart of the countryside, and the beautiful walks and bike rides are legendary. The beach also offers Kite Surfing for beginners and enthusiasts. We have spent many a happy hour sitting on our balcony watching all the kite surfers line the sky! If you enjoy fine dining then Aldridge Lodge is an award winning Restaurant and only a 2min drive away from the house, the only downfall is advanced booking is a must, but if you manage to get a table, I can promise you won't be disappointed! There is everything you will need for a perfect stay. Put a bottle or two of wine in the wine cooler to enjoy on the terrace while breathing in all that good sea air, or on cooler evenings bedside the beautiful log stove! Whatever the weather, you won't regret your stay in Duncannon!
