Cozy rural apartment in Campiglia
Cozy and bright apartment in the historic center with panoramic view, living room with fireplace, small kitchen, one bedroom and a small bathroom, wood beam ceiling. Ideally for 2 to 4 people (2 extra-beds in the living room available). In the medieval village of Campiglia Marittima, just below the fortress, the rural apartment is overlooking the ancient rooftops of the village, the historic steps of the Easter procession and the surrounding hills . I will not be present but you will be assisted before, during and at the end of your stay by me or my family. Upon arrival in summer it's not possible to enter in the very centre of the old town. We will arrange a meeting point for handing over the keys . During your stay it will be possible to park the car at 5-10 minute walk. The village is quiet but very animated during summer, especially in August when the typical Festival "ApritiBorgo" takes place. A unique opportunity to enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine with street arts exhibition and popular music bands playing in the main square and along the alleys. The village of Campiglia Marittima is a perfect starting point to quickly reach the beautiful beaches of Baratti, Rimigliano, Torre Mozza, Carbonifera, Parco della Sterpaia, Cala Violina and a little more south Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. At a few minutes drive the Spa of "Calidario" or the "Terme di Caldana" offer a perfect chance for relaxing; a little bit farther " La Cerreta " in Sassetta. The entire surrounding area, known as the "Costa Etrusca", is full of archaeological sites such as Populonia, and ancient villages like Massa Marittima and Suvereto. The Archaeological mines Park of "Temperino" and the "Rocca di San Silvestro" also represent very interesting attractions to visit by foot or with the characteristic train. The supply of hot water is provided by electric water heater. The use of the kitchen is guaranteed by gas cylinder.
