BRANNIGAN'S HOUSE

This cosy indipendent two floored house is situated amongest the ancient Medieval walls of Vitorchiano and not far from the entrance. Really quiet and suitable for anyone who needs to explore the outskirts of the place and also visit Rome and some stunning surroundings. A free parking area is available at about 100 metres from the place . Please also read about the services and rules . This may help me improve skills as host.Thank you. All parts of the house are accessible,as it is independent with only one entrance. Bottom floor is composed of a comfortable dining room all in one with a traditional old style kitchen. Kitchen supplies are at your disposition .A pellet stove is in the dining room (pellet is provided prior request at the cost of Euro 5,00 per pack payable at arrival. Take into consideration that once booked and after prevoius first conversation with you I will warm up the ambient with the same pellet you will ask me to get for (URL HIDDEN) pack of pellet lasts one whole day from morning to evening (pack of 15kg).Pets are allowed but only small size and you should provide for their comfort. Please don't allow your pets on beds and sofa.If you need me to provide for the comfort of your pets please ask and I will do anything I can to help. If you need to feel free to move without your pet I can host your pet in my place in the country which is about 4 km from Vitorchiano, so just feel free to ask. I will be ready for help if you like, just give me a call. Breakfast may be served at home calling the number you will find at the entrance, or you may just go downstairs on the right of Vicolo Stretto , where you will find the "Mojito Cafè" . A wide range of different cornettos and special brunch and after hour at special prices. If you like to have breakfast on you own, then you may reach the near "alimentari,downstairs on the left side of Vicolo Stretto and buy fresh milk, then go and buy cornettos at the Bar and have a nice brakfast at home as Airbnb breakfast is not included in the price. People in Vitorchiano are very nice and friendly so don't hesitate asking them any questions especially about the history and legends of the town. There are a few places where to have a good meal..feel free to ask me and I will tell you where to go. There are some very interesting sites to be visited near Vitorchiano . Vitorchiano for first “Well preserved Medieval village bursting with history”. one of the most beautiful and preserved villages of the Tuscia, together with Bagnaia. Coming from Tarquinia on the way to Montefalco you may decide to make a detour and have a short break. The town walls are very impressive, the towers seem bigger than any other fortress. I would recommend a stop as well at the Trappist Sisters Monastery, about 3 km out of the town, to buy excellent jams and liqueurs made on site. The Moutan Botanical Center “Worth a visit if you are into Peonies”This is basically a garden centre dedicated to peonies. There are rows and rows of them no doubt of every variety. There is no charge for entry and there is a shop and a small restaurant. I would think late April is the time to visit when all the plants are in bloom. Statue Moai , the only existent statue in Italy, hand made by the descendents of the ancient inhabitants of Rapa Nui who came over with the intent of creating this unique statue for Vitorchiano. Bagnaia: Villa Lante,built in 1560s for a Cardinal as a summer Palace this is a magnificent garden. If you wish to (URL HIDDEN) Bagnaccio is a small natural spa a few km from Viterbo, along a dust road. It is set in lawned gardens, with shrubs and trees, which is pleasant, but somewhat detracted from the historical feel of the place. Otherwise and I would recomend this one absolutely....“Enjoy Hot spring water next to Rome!”All you need is a swimming suite and flippers to get a beautiful break out of the city. The natural sulfur water will wash all your stress out and if you want treatments you may book for them. You have all services & facilities of an SPA. Summer and Spring are the best periods to stay in Vitorchiano as the amount of events is astonishing. But anytime ,if you like peace , makes it a very good place to stay in. Moreover there is a bus service in Vitorchiano about 30 mt from the house.In addition to this I may take you to the train station in Viterbo or Orte whenever you like if ever you decide to go to Rome. Station timetables vary from period to period but you can check them on the internet point in the Bar near home.
