The Citrus Room at MANTRA Pondicherry

This is a lovely Air-conditioned room for a couple on the ground floor at MANTRA. It opens onto a private deck overlooking the garden. It has an attached bathroom. Guest can use common kitchen and Living Room. The Bungalow is a quiet, green haven with lots of NEEM trees around and a lush tropical garden around the house. This house is part of a large Family home with Swimming Pool, gardens and courtyard. It has private access. The entire property is gated and very secure. A Caretaker is always available. This room also has access to a living room, dining table and a kitchen. I live on the property and am available on call anytime. MANTRA has live-in staff and daily cleaning service. The Bungalow is located in Vaithikuppam which is the gentrified fishing village adjoining the French precinct. This locality is a photographer's haven and one can see and experience the real India in the clean lanes of Vaithikuppam. The area is along the sea coast but there are no swimming beaches here. However, the only public transport nearby would be the three wheeler auto rickshaws. The good thing is that the House is a short 10min walk from the main Boulevard from where one can get other public transport. Best option would be to hire bicycles or two wheelers during your stay. The House has battery back-up in case of temporary power shut-down. We do not have a generator as yet. However, the power cuts are not long and the battery supports Fan and lights.
