The Hut at Adelong Farm - Bathurst Farmstay
Also known as Adelong Farm Hut, this boutique dwelling is built from exposed Australian hardwood, natural rock and iron. Located on an elevated position within a large, family-owned working farm, The Hut is surrounded by a stand of eucalypts with expansive views across pastures with grazing cattle. Beautifully furnished and comfortable, The Hut is completely off-grid. Onsite solar power is supplemented by gas and a slow combustion fire. Breath-taking views from The Hut entice you outdoors to watch the elements at play – the weather closing in from the west, the sunsets or just the panoramic views. A short stroll from The Hut you'll discover nearby creeks and walking tracks where you hear and see the birdlife, wombats (at dawn or dusk) and the occasional fox, hare or wallaby. Kangaroos also visit some paddocks. A mud map is supplied inside the accommodation for convenience – the walks are easy. You are most welcome to watch or join in farm activities with the sheep and cattle during your stay. If you travel further afield the city of Bathurst is 15kms to the west and O’Connell with its pub and café is close by as is Mayfield Garden and the villages of Rockley, Hill End and Sofala. The Hut provides an ideal break for people with many and varied interests: • A peaceful few days in comfort and natural surrounds • A walker’s delight • Stargazing through our telescope into the clear nights • Animal spotting and bird watching • Artists • Quilters & knitters • Mount Panorama car enthusiasts • and by arrangement, horse owners/riders.
