Victorian Villa in Snowdonia
One of a pair of Victorian villas built in the time of Queen Victoria's Jubilee. Set in the village of Dwygyfylchi, Conwy, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park the house is surrounded by mountains with the sea a short five minute walk away. The house has recently been completely refurbished to a high standard and with a number of large Velux roof windows the house is full of light. The ground floor consists of a kitchen, dining area and lounge with flat screen tv. The dining room and lounge are fully carpeted as is the house throughout. The lounge area is comfortably furnished with curved sofa seating with a gas fired wood burner stove, while the dining area has a full dining table and chairs with French doors access to the patio and garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with dish washer, washing machine, gas hob, microwave and electric oven. The first floor has a fully tiled bathroom with bath and separate shower, twin bedroom and master bedroom. From the twin bedroom you can wake up to the stunning scenery of the surrounding hills. The master bedroom at the front of house, with five foot double bed, looks towards the church with tempting glimpses of the sea. There is also a flat screen TV/DVD player. A further upper level has the option to be a used as a twin or a double bedroom. The large Velux roof windows offer stunning views of the surrounding moutains while from the front there are better views of the sea. There is also a 50 inch. flat screen tv. The property is bordered by high hedges offering complete privacy to the sun trap garden with a shady apple tree. There is a patio area with a BBQ, large deck with the outside dining table, chairs and sun parasol. Guests have full use of the house and the private garden. As the property is being let as a full own use house guests will be personally welcomed and left to enjoy the house for the period of their stay. We particularly like the location of the house because there are so many walks that are accessible from the house. There are a number of shorter footpath walks around the village or longer walks up onto the surrounding hills. There is also parking at the top of the nearby Sychnant Pass with, again, many walks up into the hills from here. A major feature of the village is the 18-hole golf course and visitors are welcome to play for a modest daily fee. One of the short footpath walks from the house will take you up to the local Fairy Glen pub where excellent food is served daily. Another choice is The Gladstone public house and hotel which is situated in the centre of the village and also has a full restaurant open to non residents. Another short walk of five minutes from the house will take you down to the foreshore and at low tide you can walk along the shore to the next village of Penmaenmawr where there is a small cafe on the promenade for tea and refreshments. Just before you cross the A55 to the shore there is the recently opened Puffin cafe where all day food -including breakfast- is obtainable as well as a well stocked farm shop. There are two further well stocked shops in the village with post office and a Chinese take away. The bus service that runs every half hour from the church will take you into Llandudno or Bangor. Llandudno has a large theatre with a full programme of events. Although there is no parking actually on the property there is always easy parking directly across the road from the house or by the nearby church and green.
