Scenic Route 690 is a cyclist's dream. Near W&OD trail and C&O Canal. Near many access points for hiking the Applachian trail. In the warmer weather enjoy the pool! Close to Potomac River in VA and WV for kayaking. Historic Civil War sites nearby. Winery tours are available. Just ask! Traveling with small children? The sofa will accommodate a small child, as will the wing back chair with the ottoman. We also have a small cot! The room has a private bath and a refrigerator. If you are staying for a week or more, there is a spacious dresser and hanging space in the closet. The room comes with the swimming pool (ln season) If you have had your COVID vaccines you may use the kitchen. NOT a good place for folks who have difficulty navigating stairs!! Not for you if you don’t like barking dogs While COVID is in place guests may only use the room and outside areas. Outside areas include the pool the grill and the picnic tables on the patio and out in the field. If you have proof of Covid vaccines you may use the kitchen Carl provides wine tours. 4 Wineries is $100. 3 Wineries is $80. driver service to and from dinner is available for $60. these services are cash only. Carl and Tracie are available in person, phone and email. Carl is a marriage celebrant and a reverend. He has performed many marriages in our home, inside and outside. We always have a bottle of bubbly on hand to celebrate great moments! This is a quiet country setting on twelve acres. We have three dogs, Bandit, Clark and Bailey, and one cats, Simon. The dogs can be very excited to see newcomers. They are lovable and kind, but some people feel more comfortable parking in the cul du sac rather than the driveway. Please know that the lamppost at the driveway is for guests. Travelers may bring pets. Upon arrival you will enter the door to the left of the porch. Turn left and then right up the stairs to your room.
