La Ferme 5 bedroom farmhouse with heated pool

La Ferme is situated in a private complex of 5 holiday properties on a gated complex which is suitable for families with children. Set in a beautiful area of the Charente there are many possibilities to explore the local area or just relax in the sun shine and take advantage of the heated pool. The Charente region has the second most hours of sunshine in France after the med so you can be sure of long, hot days from May to October. The pool is open from June to September There is a bar, boulangerie and Post Office within walking distance of the property whilst more facilities are available in nearby market towns of Aigre, Ruffec and Mansle just a few minutes drive away. For active individuals and families there are bikes available for guests of the complex on a first come first served basis which are ideal for exploring the local area and there is a well equipped gym. For the children's amusement there is a play barn with table tennis, pool table, fishing rods and many games. The house is ideal for two families wishing to share a property, as there are two separate upstairs floors each with their own bathroom/shower room so privacy can be obtained while just sharing the kitchen and lounge/dining area. We have wifi and a vast library of DVDs, games a Bose iPhone/iPod dock, enough to keep all ages interested the whole house is available to include a farmhouse kitchen with integrated oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and washing machine. Our property is well equipped in the kitchen area to cater for large groups The first floor consists of 3 bedrooms, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. There is also a bathroom with bath and wall shower and separate WC on the first floor. The second floor consists of, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both with exposed beams. A separate single sofa bed in an alcove under the eaves is provided for the 10th person should the house be at full capacity. There is also a shower room with WC on this floor. The whole complex has been designed with the safety of children in mind and is walled and gated giving them the freedom to play and wander the grounds. The pool has a security fence and alarm. There are no open tread staircases in the house and includes smoke alarms and fire extinguishers . We have a property manager who lives near by and we are available by phone and email Fouqueure is serviced by a tabac / bar which sells for essentials, fresh bread, croissants and ice creams.
