The Cabin Hillsboro, Ohio

Secluded, reclaimed log cabin. This hidden gem is a piece of the past with the comfort of modern amenities. Come sit a spell on either of the porch swings, enjoy a campfire by the pond, cozy up to the wood burning fireplace, or soak in the hot tub. A door code will be provided so you can come and go as you please. The Cabin is a reclaimed tobacco barn with an addition for modernized indoor plumbing (although the outhouse is still available). It is nestled in the woods, making it secluded and private. The Cabin is not visible from the road. (If hoping for an early arrival or a quick view prior to the check-in date, please contact us for appointment.) *The main loft is accessed by stairs. Loft above the bathroom with 2 twin beds is only accessible by the steep ladder and is not suitable for young children and may be difficult for older adults. The Cabin is fully accessible. We are active hosts and are outside often with our chickens and outdoor chores. We are available at anytime as needed. We live on the property and may greet you during your stay. We respect the privacy of our guest, and are very social and friendly people. We are surrounded by farm land and woods, yet only 4 miles from Hillsboro. We are close to Rocky Fork State Park, Serpent Mound, and within an hour of Adams County Amish community. A hot breakfast can be served directly to your door, or be waiting in the cabin when you arrive. For stays 1-3 nights long, one breakfast will be served on the day of your choice, and 2 breakfasts may be served on the days of your choice for stays 4 or more nights. Along with the flat screen TV and Dish, a DVD player and some cards/games, and cornhole are available. Charcoal grill available (charcoal not provided). *Mid-January through the end of March (depending on the weather) is our maple syrup season. During this time, you may see us out collecting sap. Some of the trees around The Cabin will be tapped, but we will do our best to not disturb you.
