This stylish place is close to must-see destinations - Swimming Lake, world heritage listed Naracoorte Caves, Coonawarra, Wrattonbully and Padthaway wine areas. Walk from your parking space in the attractive front garden along a path to two steps (with rails) to the deck/verandah. Use your code to enter the modern, spacious air conditioned living area with raked ceilings and tasteful decor. Make yourself at home with a welcome snack, including a complimentary bottle of Wild Game “The Countess” Sparkling Pinot Gris from the Coonawarra. The bathroom is accessed through the fully equipped galley kitchen. Both bedrooms have a clothes hanging rack and dresser - bedroom 1 has a r/c air-con and bedroom 2 has a radiant electric panel heater, tower fan and bookshelf. All rooms have double privacy/ block out blinds. Seating is provided on the verandah to enjoy the garden and great Naracoorte sunsets and there is also the more private paved back patio/BBQ area with Weber BabyQ . (For those with mobility issues the interior can be accessed via the rear door, with no steps - contact Julie for key.) Driving around Naracoorte is easy with roundabouts and ranked parking spaces. But why drive? It's just a 5 minute walk to the Kincraig Plaza and a couple more to the main streets. We respect the fact that as guests you may want privacy to “do your own thing” but we are also happy to interact with you if you desire to! Our phone numbers are in the guest manual. Feel free also to knock on our door. Naracoorte is ideally located in the centre of the Limestone Coast, mid-way between Mount Gambier and Keith, with just over an hour's drive each way. Enjoy exploring Bool Lagoon and the wine regions of Coonawarra, Wrattonbully and Padthaway. Spend a few hours at the acclaimed Naracoorte Caves, featuring Wonambi Interpretive Centre, Bentwing Cafe, several caves to suit your fitness level, adventure playground and walking trails. The beautiful Naracoorte swimming lake is very popular in summer. Join "Park Run" on Saturday mornings at 8am - the starting point is adjacent to the lake. Visit the famous Mini Jumbuk in Smith St to check out their shop and to see woollen quilts being made from the viewing window. For dining experiences, there's the popular Pearl Continental Restaurant (our favourite), three hotels, motels, abundant coffee shops - most within an easy walk back to The Log Cabin from your evening out! Getting around Naracoorte is easy by car and the CBD is just a 5-10 minute walk from the B&B. Feel free to ask Julie if you need to finish off drying your clothes in her tumble dryer.
