Come enjoy the peace and quiet of our home on 10 acres located 3 miles from the center of Lava Hot Springs. We are set back, up a hill with great views over the valley. Quiet road, plenty of outdoor enjoyment. 4wd mandatory in winter weather! Fully self-sufficient basement apartment. 1 bedroom, kitchenette, bath, eating area and living room. Come enjoy the peace and quiet of our homestead on 10 acres located 3 miles from the center of Lava Hot Springs. We are set back, up a hill with great views over the valley. Quiet road, plenty of outdoor enjoyment. You are invited to our home, with a 1 bedroom apartment in our basement. Bedroom has a queen bed, with a window that opens into the greenhouse. The apartment has it's own bathroom, kitchenette, a built in eating area, and a small living room. walk out to a back patio, or enjoy the decks upstairs in the summer. We are a working homestead, with animals and large gardens, a place to decompress from urban life. This means we are also a bit more rustic. In the winter weather you MUST HAVE 4WD. our road is a hill, with sharp turns, and will be covered in snow and ice. It may or may not be plowed at any particular time. No reservations will be approved without a conversation to be sure this is a good fit for our guests. Bedroom has a queen bed, with a window that opens into the greenhouse. The apartment has it's own bathroom, kitchenette, a built in eating area, and a small living room. walk out to a back patio, or enjoy the decks upstairs in the summer. there is a firepit and seating in the south gardens. This is a working homestead in varying degrees of activity. There are animals inside and out, large gardens, and all the chaos of an active farm. Pets likely ok. Wifi available. You will be sharing space in our home, but you will have your own entrance, should you prefer less interaction. We will be present in the upstairs of the home, and you are welcome to come upstairs as you wish, we simply ask that you are respectful of our space. If you want more interaction, we love to share and to visit with people when we are home. We are relisting this space after some major changes to our lives, and work schedules have changed. There are challenges, and we ask that you bear with us as we try to navigate opening this space again. Please remember, too, that this is a homestead. There may be chickens, large gardens, dogs and cats, and the chaos of rural life. Since we have pets, we may be able to also accomodate yours, please ask us. we are on 10 fenced acres, surrounded by hundreds more. Wildlife, large and small, frequent the yard. Our home is 3 1/2 miles from the center of Lava Hot Springs. This allows easy access to town for pools, hot pools, floating the river and enjoying the town, but still allows for the peace and serenity of the area. We live on a resident-maintained, dead-end road with wonderful neighbors, lots of space, and great views. plenty of parking in our driveway for cars, trucks, and reasonably sized trailers. Our home is a working homestead. We have large gardens, laying and meat chickens, and grow or raise most of our own food. We have dogs and cats, and live a pretty rural life. We are not a 4-star hotel. Winter access is challenging, at best. Life here has changed a lot lately, and until we are better at coordinating schedules and opening the apartment to guests, please allow us a brief conversation before finalizing reservations. We want you to be happy with your stay, and so we want to be sure this is the right fit for you. We will be making more changes to the apartment over the next few months.
