The Hub: House

19 Market St. is cozy and comfortable house built in 1890 and sits on the shore of the historic Mill Pond. It features recently refinished hardwood floors and brand-new mattresses with pillow tops. Half-bath in kitchen It's an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. Out the back door is 207 acres of professionally built single track mountain bike trails and a hiking trail, both with a stunning view of Brant Lake. Out the front door are swimming, fishing, paddling, and road riding opportunities. This was the house of a stalwart Brant Lake family who owned the local market and liquor store. Built in 1890, it features beautiful hardwood floors with warm and welcoming woodwork. The house is furnished with vintage and antique hardwood furniture. It also has a half-bath downstairs. The house is old and has its quirks, but it's very solid and the hardwood floors provide an incredible warmth. It also has a screened in back porch and large yard. While it's not the most luxurious, we maintain the property and guarantee a clean and comfortable stay. All of the mattresses are brand new, feature organic cotton pillow tops, and have Protect-A-Bed covers for hygiene (these are the soft covers, not the uncomfortable plastic covers). The refrigerator and both toilets are also new. There is a brand new 40” smart TV in the living room. There are window air conditioners in bedrooms two and four, and in the hallway across from bedroom three. The location is ideal for any kind of recreation. Swimming and fishing are available right out the front door, with a public beach a short walk away. Directly behind the house is Brant Lake Bike Park, home to professionally built single track mountain bike trails and a hiking trail that leads to a gorgeous view of Brant Lake. The trails are also suitable for trail running. There is access to Brant Lake for a car-top boats (kayak, canoe, SUP) about 500ft away. There is also plenty of parking for a trailered boat, and the public launch is about a mile a way. The area is also home to a myriad of stunning options for road cycling. In addition to the recreational opportunities right out the door, the house is just two miles from I87 and just about 20-30 minutes away from destinations on Lake George such as Hague, Bolton Landing, and Lake George Village. North Creek, home to whitewater rafting and more mountain biking, is just 30 minutes away. Lake Placid and the Adirondack high-peaks region are about one hour away. For those on working vacations, the house has WiFi and a cable internet connection with speeds in excess of 60mbps. Verizon and AT&T have good signals as well. The whole house and property is all yours! We're right next door at The Hub from 11:30am-8:00pm, seven days a week. The Hub, a cafe, bar, and bike shop, is directly next door. The house is right on the Mill Pond which features fishing areas and a public beach. Uber and Lyft are available, but are very limited in their availability. The driveway only fits two vehicles, but the parking lot for The Hub is directly adjacent and available for you to use, with nearly unlimited parking. COVID-19 precautions: we're taking the pandemic seriously and allowing time between guests and cleaning / sanitizing to minimize the risk of transmission. As of April 2021: I had a procedure performed on the well to increase the flow rate. It now flows seven times as fast as before, and there is no longer a need to conserve water or be conscious of consumption.
