Perfect Pohara beach retreat with stunning sea or rural vistas from most rooms and the beach across the road. This self catering holiday house is close to cafes, store and restaurants and handy to the iconic Abel Tasman National Park. Seasonal rates. This modern, two-storey Pohara beach house comfortably sleeps six with 3 recently furnished bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom features an ensuite, walk-in wardrobe and an idyllic Juliette balcony - great for breakfast or a late afternoon aperitif. A perfect retreat for couples. The balcony with stunning views opens off the open plan living area and has a Wber bbq, and outdoor dining table. The rooms on the upper floor have spectacular views of the bay or mountain vistas. You have everything you need here for the perfect holiday – easy access to the safe swimming beach of Pohara, and plenty of parking for boats and extra vehicles. You have access to the whole house, including an internal access garage. We have three bikes stored there also for you to use. We live off site so you have the whole place to yourself. To help you choose what to do and see in the bay we keep a comprehensive supply of brochures with details of walks, cafes, flights, kayak hire etc at the house for your use. Pohara is a beautiful coastal environment with safe swimming for families. There is a walking and bike track near the house. A Café and Pohara Golf Course are a few minutes walk. A selection of restaurants and bars are a ten minute walk away, the marina, boat ramp and tennis courts are all handy. There are numerous beautiful beaches to visit as well as the one on your doorstep – Tata Beach, Ligar Bay, Wainui with it’s stunning waterfall and Abel Tasman National Park are all close by. Takaka is a 10 minute drive where you’ll find an eclectic range of shops including great cafes, galleries, an organic store, and a supermarket. Te Waikoropupu Springs are an easy drive and the well known Mussel Inn is 20 minutes away by car with historic Collingwood another 8 minutes. Farewell Spit tours run from there or you can travel on to Wharariki beach which is truly wonderful and well worth a visit. The wider area around Pohara has some fascinating rock formations – take a walk or for the more adventurous there is some great rock climbing. Golden Bay is renowned for it's artists with many galleries open to visitors. You will need your own transport. We use natural cleaning products in the house, crisp Egyptian cotton sheets & cotton and bamboo towels. Soaps are locally made from olive oil. Our kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware and a new stove. The linen, including beach towels, is provided.
