Escape the city, located just over an hour from Manhattan & 7min from Metro North, to work or play. Open floor plan is great for entertaining and relaxing. Primary bedroom and spa-like bath located on the first floor. Enjoy an elevated cabin in the woods vibe with a large wood burning fireplace, 7 person hot tub, lots of windows to watch the snow fall, individual heat controls in upstairs bedrooms and loft & 9 private acres. Nearby hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing & more winter fun. The house is great for all generations- only 3 steps up from the driveway to the first floor which has the primary bedroom (king bed) with en-suite bath (walk-in shower and soaking tub), living room, kitchen and sunroom which has dining for 8. There is an additional half bath on the first floor. Second floor has 2 spacious bedroom each with individual heat/ac controls; one bedroom has an office set up for guests working from home. The second bedroom has a very large walk-in closet as well as blackout shades. 2nd floor also has a full bath stocked with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. 3rd floor can be an additional living room/game room or office (desk and office chair supplied) or for larger parties can be be used as another bedroom. 3 Large sky lights and 2 large windows provide lots of light. There is a ceiling fan and mini split for climate control. While only 6 minutes to a very well stocked grocery store and 7 minutes to the closest metro north stop, the neighborhood itself is very quiet and remote. A car will make your stay a lot easier. A long driveway leads you to a large driveway which fits 4 cars comfortably. Quite and private neighborhood yet only a 5 minute drive to a essential stores and less than 10 minutes to metro north Parking in front of the house can fit 4+ cars comfortably In addition to the beds listed we have: a rollaway bed, crib, and plenty of air mattresses should your guests not want to share the larger beds. Please let us know when booking if you would like an additional beds made up for your guests The hot tub is open all year round. The pool is open June 1 to September 15 and we will confirm availability with your booking. Pool heat costs extra per hour that you run the heater.
