Eco house Horvat is a charming wooden house ideal for relaxation located on a peaceful hill just above Spa&Wellness center Terme Jezercica in Donja Stubica, Croatia. The house is very cosy, decorated with lots of love, and we are very proud of our beautiful garden. While decorating the house we put special emphasis on the details of Croatian history and tradition and that’s why the house has already won several awards in regional competitions for eco house and garden (award Krapina Zagorje County "Eco House of 2007." and award for the “Zagorje family tradition Garden of 2007. and 2011.”). Addition to the serve room, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, you can use the barbecue on the terrace and to the ground peculiar cooking utensils in nature. The space is equipped with TV, radio (CD, MP3, USB), internet/WiFi and computer, the house has a garage if you’re coming here with a car. Also, we provided pool and sauna discounts for our guests in the local Spa & wellness center. Special desires we will be happy to satisfy! If you have any extra demands or just need a good advice, I'll be more than happy to help you out. Also, once you check in, you'll have complete privacy because I'm not staying near the house. Only a half an hour drive from the capital city Zagreb, Eco house Horvat is situated in a part of Croatia called Croatian Zagorje. This region is known for rich history, castles, gourmet tradition, spas and healing baths whose water was first discovered by the Romans. Our guests can also enjoy tracking, hiking, paintball and other outdoor activites in the Medvednica Nature park, 15 minute drive from the house or fly over Zagorje in a hot air ballon. If you are more of a museum type, you can visit Peasants' Revolt Museum in Gornja Stubica (10 min drive) or Krapina Neanderthal Museum (25 min by car). There are a lots of concerts and events that are related to culture and history of the region, for example, historical games and peasant uprising (an uprising against the higher nobility, Matija Gubec, 1573.). We must not forget the gastronomy! Regional local traditional specialties and wines are famous and we have to recommend it to you! You can arrive by car, bus or train. Bus station is located 10 min walk from the house and the distance from the train station is a 20 minute walk. If you decide to travel by plane, we can arrange the transport from Zagreb Pleso airport or some of the other nearby airports directly to the house. Eco house Horvat will provide you with so much desired peace and relaxation at any time of year.
