Soaring Piitaa (Eagle) Tipis - 2 Tipis - Sleeps 12
Piitaa (pronounced beet-aa in English) in Blackfoot means Eagle. Join us in a unique experience in some authentic Blackfoot Tipi's. You can rent 1, 2, 3 or all 4 tipis. This reservation would be for 2 of the 4 tipis. If you’re looking to experience that “oneness with nature” then sleeping in a tipi is for you. It’s the next best thing to being under the stars. Lodgepole pine poles, a canvas covering, and the earth itself beneath your feet This is not glamping or glamorous camping. The Tipi are very basic. Tipis are an adventure. There is an opening at the top where the tipi poles extend out of the tipi. When it rains water naturally runs down the inside of the poles and may drip down on the beds. The best way to avoid this is by moving your bed between the poles or more into the center. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee that you won’t get wet. The tipis are very basic. Each tipi is an 18' diameter tipi. There is one queen bed/tipi provided with sheets & authentic Blackfoot pattern blanket on each bed. For more than 2 people (6 allowed per tipi), you will need to bring your own cots & bedding for each additional person. There is a large common fire pit area with seating. There is no cooking grate provided. The wood is provided as long as there is no fire ban. Along with your tipis, you have access to our Rec Center quonset that has many amenities. Full inside shower (bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner), full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils etc, big screen projector, pool table, ping pong table, work out area, and cold pop machine. The water in the Rec Center is potable water. An outhouse is provided for your convenience and is cleaned daily. The Rec Center is a shared facility if you are not renting all 4 tipis. What to Bring All regular camping gear; ie: warm bedding, cooking gear and grate if wishing to cook outdoors on the fire pit, basin, axe, lantern / flashlights, matches/lighter, fire starter/paper, wiener sticks, lawn chairs, bug spray, etc
